  2. 1915 Kansas City Packers Roster

The Kansas City Packers were a Federal League baseball club in Kansas City from 1914 to 1915. They finished sixth in 1914 with a 67-84 record, and fourth in 1915 with an 81-72 record. The Packers moved to Kansas City in July 1913 from Covington, Kentucky when the Federal League was an independent minor league. When the league declared itself major, the Packers’ first signing was of former St. Louis Browns manager, George Stovall, reportedly the first signing of a major league player in violation of his reserve clause. The Packers began their major league life on April 23, 1914 as the visiting team in the first game played in what is now known as Wrigley Field. George “Chief†Johnson was the Packers’ starting pitcher in that historic game, but was removed after two innings when served with an injunction from his former team, the Cincinnati Reds. The Packers’ home season ended early for them, when a flash flood that hit Kansas City after a heavy downpour knocked down the walls of the ballpark, Gordon and Koppel Field. The Packers finished on the road, and ended in sixth place, 20 games behind the pennant-wining Indianapolis Hoosiers. During the 1914-1915 off-season, the Federal League tried to move the franchise to Newark, New Jersey, but were prevented by injunctions by obtained by Kansas City management. The Packers went into spring training believing they would be playing in Newark, but last-minute negotiations led to the Indianapolis franchise being moved instead. In the course of the closest pennant race in major league history, the Packers led until late August before fading and finishing 4th, five and one-half games behind the first place Chicago Whales, and one-half game ahead of the fifth place Newark Peppers. Among the men who played for the Packers were Stovall, Bill Bradley, Johnny Rawlings, Chief Johnson, Ted Easterly and Nick Cullop, who won 22 games in 1915.

  8. 2009 All Stars Game rosters

2009 All Stars Rosters by Toleton
    09 July 2009

With the 2009 All Stars Game coming soon, we have updated both league

teams for MVP according to the NL and AL rosters recently announced for

such great event. Actual rosters are composed by 33 players per team,

while MVP rosters are limited to 25, so we have shaped each team with 2

catchers, 8 infielders, 5 outfielders and 10 pitchers. While main

positions are already fixed, bench players, starter pitchers and

bullpen have been chosen taking into account best performance stats

during the present season and having some balance. Also lineups have

been conceived by myself the same way.

From last KG 7.1 roster update we have only modified roster.dat file,

specifically those lines from 752 to 801 for including both rosters.

For installation just pick this file and overwrite the one located at

EA SPORTS/MVP Baseball 2005/data/database/, or just copy the above

mentioned lines correspondingly in your roster.dat if you have made

changes from the original KG 7.1 and want to keep them. So have fun

before the big game start!!!, go to exhibition, then check AL visitor

and NL Home club, check Busch Stadium and Play Ball!!!

2009 All Stars Rosters by Toleton, corrected version
    11 July 2009

    Correction to First Version:

Due to a mistake I included Pablo Sandoval as 3b in the reserve of the NL All Star Team, when actually it correspond to Ryan Zimmerman, so the roster.dat in this package is corrected in this sense, the rest is the same. Sorry for such error and enjoy.

  10. 2009 All Stars Rosters Final

2009 All Stars Rosters by Toleton, final version
    17 July 2009

    Final version:

This final version includes the actual lineup for both NL & AL teams, pitchers staff and reserve players who performed at game day, still limited to the 25 men rosters defined in MVP, so maybe some players will be missing, but only a few. It also includes the org.dat file that updates the managers for both teams. So copy org.dat and roster.dat to overwrite their similars at EA SPORTS/MVP Baseball 2005/data/database/. I hope you like it.

  13. 2010 Playoffs

2010 Playoffs for MVP08 by Toleton
    October 11, 2010

Another year and another playoffs series goes on. As we have done before we have elaborated a dynasty .sav file representing the contenders in this year 2010. The rosters are based on hiheat32 last release (the best in my humble opinion after KG) with last moment players updating as well as must current lineups, although some of them from my own inspiration, but it can be changed by you at will. Credits also goes to Tywiggings for using his tools.

Just pick the .sav file in the package, copy it to My Documents\EAmods'MVP08\, then by uploading the game, load the 2010Playoffs.sav as a dynasty. This dynasty already in the playoffs stage have control of the Atlanta Braves (my team), but you can take control of any other team contending in the playoffs at will by using Tywiggins tools MVP2005TeamChanger.exe program or MVP2005 Editor (not MVPedit 2006) in his Team Changer option. So enjoy it and have some fun!!!

  14. 2011 Playoffs for MVP08

This time Dafly took the lead by inches with his good work (as usual) for a 2011 Playoffs dinasty, as I had already a .sav prepared and ready for upload, so I post it anyway without any rivalry or competition with my friend Dafly, let´s say it is another alternative for our MVP followers.

This .sav file is based in Daflyboys roster last version with some additional updates for each team, as well as lineups near real, but also with another approach. It takes into account some cyberfaces Id´s updates according to Jogar's last work. A very new young player was created, Paul Goldschmidt in Diamondbacks crew, so we also include his portrait in the package, the same as Matt Moore, as I guess these are not available. As a remark, Matt Holliday is in Cardinals lineup, but you can change and make your own at will, at the end it is just a game.

Just pick the .sav file in the package, copy it to My Documents\EAmods'MVP08\, then by uploading the game, load the .sav as a dynasty. The adds portraits can be installed with TiT. This dynasty have control of the Tampa Bay Rays which was my reference team, but you can take control of any other team contending in the playoffs as you want by using Tywiggins tools MVP2005TeamChanger.exe program or MVP2005 Editor (not MVPedit 2006) in his Team Changer option, as I did for checking. I will also try to make some missing players audio in the near future. So as the playoffs are ongoing, play your own and have fun!!!

  16. 2014 Spring Training

    2014 Spring Training Rosters
Updated version of the BaseUp Rosters 2013 End of Season Phase 4 rosters (thanks to Daflyboys for putting these together)
Major league rosters are correct as of 2/24/2014 based on depth charts on www.mlbdepthcharts.com.
Non-league lineups are not correct (i.e. AL team w/o DH lineups; NL team w/ DH lineups)
    Minor leagues are not correct.
These rosters are ideal for exhibition games. If you want to start a franchise/season, you’ll need to update the lineups and minors.

  17. 2015 MLB Playoffs

This is a .SAV file only.  This needs to be placed in your Documents/MVP2005 folder or Documents/EAMods08 folder, whichever one your game accesses.  Make sure you have a season slot available.  If you are still using dynasties, try to change the file type to whatever dynasty uses (can't remember it).
I set all of the rosters and game 1 starting pitchers to the first slot as well as line-ups as were set for first games of each series.  You probably can't control who the computer plays unless you switch teams frequently.
This is defaulted to control the Chicago Cubs.  To control another team, use TyWiggins team changer tool (I uploaded his tools recently, so search for them if you don't have them or haven't found them as of yet).  Please don't ask me for them.  And please don't ask me to set up a special playoff season for you.
These rosters feature updated control numbers for all pitchers at the MLB level. (I'll be doing one final update for the entire league a bit later).

Again.... this is a SAV file only.  this is not a roster file.  It can only be opened/used within the game itself.
Please don't rate me low simply because you don't know what you're doing.  Ask for help.

  18. 2016 MVP MLB Playoffs

SAV file only featuring opening round playoff rosters.
Keep in mind it is nearly impossible to have everyone entering the post-season with 100% stamina.  Also you will see relievers in a starters slot (because the game demands the 5 starter slots be filled).
The file is saved to play as the Chicago Cubs.  To change teams, use the tywiggins team changer app (found in the downloads section).

  21. 2016 Pre-Spring Training Rosters (COMPLETE)

These are pre-Spring training MLB focused, complete rosters.  Tweaking was done for a good number of MLB position players in contact and power.  Some jersey numbers may not be correct.  Some players were created to the best of my ability with the information available.  Yes, you will probably see some duplicate players (i.e., an MLB player also showing at the lower levels or in the FA pool) as teams were imported into an older, stable roster.  This is meant only for exhibition play, not season, dynasty or owner play.  This was tested and is working,
Don't post questions/problems in the review area.  However, if you find a glaring problem or omission, please PM me or place in the comments section.

  22. 2017 BaseUp! End of Season Rosters ~ PC vs PC!

NOTE:  THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER FOR PC VS PC PLAY ONLY!
    End of Season Update
Rosters are adjusted for PC vs PC play only.  If you attempt to play vs. the PC you may not get the same results.
NOTE:  The ratings for the main batting attributes (contact & power) are purposely lowered to play effectively like this.  Do not contact me about this.
NOTE 2:  You can load these rosters, then save in game, then re-install other preferred rosters.    If you do this, you'll have to then load your save to play PC vs. PC.

  23. 2017 BaseUp! End of Season Rosters ~ Phase 3

NOTE:  THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER!
    End of Season Update
Rosters primarily reflect players on the roster at the end of the season who have largely given the most service to the MLB squad to date.  There are some exceptions when it comes to some marquee players, but I do take into consideration the total amount of playing time, especially with pitchers.  However, some players get caught during a trade and I couldn't justify putting them up on the MLB roster over another player.  If you do think that a certain player deserves to be on the MLB squad over another, you can simply move him within the game itself or one of the editors.
I made sure each team had 12 pitchers and 13 fielders.
Phase 1:  These are primarily setting the rosters only.  A few pitchers had to be created that I had missed previously and very few fielders' batting numbers were adjusted.  I have NOT included some of the latest cyberface numbers, though you can easily correct this again with one of the editors or doing it directly in the attrib.dat file (as previously discussed in the forums).

    Phase 2:
**Batting adjustments for power and contact for all fielders completed.
**Starting pitching rotations adjusted to largely match RotoWorld.
**Secondary pitches velocity reduced by 3 mph (except for 2 seam FB).
    **Recent cyberface ID changes integrated.

    Phase 3:
**Updated control attributes for all MLB pitchers based on last 3 year WHIP ratings
**Updated batting contact/power ratings for pitchers with 100+ PA over past 5 years.
**Pitch speeds adjusted (off speed pitches, especially change-ups and curves do not translate from MVPedit properly)
**Pat Neshek moved up to the Rockies bullpen.

If you notice any correction needs, please PM me.  However, please do not PM me about minor league players.
