Possible Cyberface "needs"/suggestions?

241 posts in this topic

POSITION PLAYERS:

Josh Rutledge --- played a good amount last year and has appeared in about half the games this year for COL. Not a big priority.

Andrew Romine --- significant appearances for DET. Not the highest priority.

Scooter Gennett --- full-time 2B for MIL.

Cody Asche --- despite injury, seems he will be the full-time 3B for PHI.

Jordy Mercer --- full-time utility player for PIT.

Yasmani Grandal --- primary C for SDP.

Brad Miller --- full-time SS for SEA.

Robinson Chirinos --- primary C for TEX.

How about Marcus Stroman who in his rookie season is probably the third or fourth starter on the AL East leading (as of July 2) Toronto Blue Jays.

He probably has the best "stuff" out of any of the current Toronto starting staff.

it's gonna get harder to make cyberfaces. pressbox photos were never released this year.

Why do you think that happened? It makes no sense.

I don't think backup C's are needed typically. I considered suggesting Valencia but he always seems to top out at about 60-ish games in the majors each year (not sure why with his bat). As said, Escobar already done. Rutledge and Romine can probably be shelved as suggestions.

I was suggesting position players. Looking at pitchers now.

Yes, that's true

Brandon Moss, OAK 1B, could use an update.

Possibly Kyle Kendrick, too. I couldn't justify any other MLB starters as I looked at them.

Is anyone working on cyberfaces? I see many requests, but no replies from any of the modders.

Easily discerned from the DL section. YYHMST seems to be working on some requests, but I'm pretty sure English isn't his first language and he's not releasing faces in concert with official ID numbers, so if you use them and want to stay with the official list, you have to change the 3 files in any given cyberface to those particular numbers.

Junior also seems to be releasing some cybers, but they seem like they are mainly updates or alternates and I don't think they're particularly better than what is already available.

Argument could be made for Steve Pearce, BAL DH/1B, to have a face. Amazing to think they were going to release him.

Thanks YYHMST. And nice job on quick responses, Oscar.

If possibly, maybe suggest skin tone to go along with your faces?

One thing I don't like is the EA skin tone of "1". It's just so ghostly. I'm setting "2" as the minimum. Beltran a "2"? We should make sure that the tone matches the cyber as best as possible. For some, it's very difficult.

This is a great guide, though.

For the face of carlos beltran created by Jed, it is a 2... maximum 3.
If you have the previous face, skin tone 6

From a Blue Jays Fan POV:

Marcus Stroman (stated in a previous post; currently the best pitcher in the Blue Jays rotation)

Drew Hutchison (began as the #2 starter behind R.A. Dickey; struggled in last couple of starts, but if healthy should be a mainstay in this rotation)

Aaron Sanchez (prized #1 B.J. pitching prospect who got called up a few days ago; will work in the 'pen for now with eventual move to the rotation next year)

***Aaron Sanchez was absolutely filthy against the Bosox yesterday throwing 97-99 four-seamer that moved like a 2-seamer, an 83 mph curveball with 12-6 drop, and a 93 mph changeup with 11-7 break.

Aaron Loup (primary lefty set-up man, but he has been used against both LHB and RHB)

Anthony Gose (fourth outfielder behind Bautista, Cabrera, Rasmus; should be primary outfielder if neither Cabrera nor Rasus resigned for next year)

Josh Thole (personal catcher for Dickey; primary backup catcher)

I can agree with Stroman, Hutchison and Gose. I don't think backups should have their own cyber by and large...only so many slots. Sanchez is still that; a prospect and can be just as eaily sent down. Loup -- maybe, depending on how much of a work horse he is.

By the way, Stroman will be in the trade deadline rosters on the MLB squad and I modified him to meet his current performance. Here's what I have for him. If there's another delivery you think he should have, let me know:

(Remember: velocity is minus about 2 mph to compensate for how the game handles pitchers.)
