The laptop that the game was installed on (download version from gamestop) motherboard died. Hard drive was saved. Tried to play the game from the external hard drive and is asking for an activation code. I assume the code was stored somewhere in the registry of the old hard drive. Is there a way to access the code so I can play again? I saw some keygens and cracks but they all seem to be viruses. 2k and gamestop have been no help at all. And I agree, there should be some information somewhere in the registry that has your serial number. No warez, cracks, or links to such content. Help, requests or posts that discuss circumvention of copyright measures are forbidden. I had the same problem with Amazon neither they are 2k were any help but I found that will let you play. When you manipulate the EXE file it is a crack. I remember a discussion we had here years ago when someone wanted the Mvp EXE file manipulated for something and Kraw said that the software companies look down on it and it is a form of piracy. I never forgot that. The reason why those two files were here so long is my unfamiliarity with the 2k mods. Since I don't have the game I didn't know about this.
