  1. That sucks...weird that one person will help while another does not with the same problem.... You can also try submitting a request to SecuRom directly. I did that, also, but I never heard anything back from them. But, then again, I did not have the need to follow up because 2K fixed the problem. Good Luck!
  2. Hi, I had the same problem about a month or so ago. I purchased the digital version from Amazon, but after a few installs, I too ran into the key problems. What I did was to contact 2k customer service. Believe it or not, they STILL have customer service for the product and it was quite smooth and fast results. I had to send them a copy of my purchase receipt and they gave me a new product key. The key was for the steam version, though. I just entered the key and 2K12 shows up available for download. No problems - works great. Hope this helps.
  3. I looked in the installed programs in the control panel, and it wasn't listed. So I re-downloaded from amazon, installed and then it asked for the key once I started the program. And the Key failed - same error - too many times and/or to many computers. I contacted Amazon requesting a new key, and they pointed me to 2K, since they are the only ones that can issue keys. Well, actually, that worked out pretty smothly. A few screen shots of my purchase receipt, activation key, and the error that I get. Few hours later, 2K Support issued me a new key (Steam version, though). So, I downloaded it (again), and was pleasantly surprised that it was the patched version. It was a vanilla copy, but fortunately, still have the mods saved. Thanks for the suggestions/help!
  4. Hi, This past weekend, I had to reset my windows 8.1 from scratch - meaning my C drive was totally erased with all of my files. I have heavily modded 2k12 installed on another drive (e) that was not affected during the resetting. But, when I tried to start 2K12, I received a window to enter my activation key I received from my vendor. So, I entered that information, but I received an error that that key was used too many times or that I used that on too many computers. It is a legit copy of 2k12, and I only used it on two computers - the activation code should work fine. Am I getting this error because I did not "properly" re-install the game after the reset? If so, is there a way to reinstall a vanilla version and then go back to the modded version? Or would it not even matter since it is an activation code issue and not an installation problem? Anybody have any experience with this issue? Thanks!
  5. I like that editor....I did the whole team (Indians) - makes a big difference. Is this (roster editor) how people update their rosters to keep current or do they use some other program?
  6. Hi, Sorry if this might be a repeat question, but looking through the forums, I found a similar problem, but I did not understand the answer...I am brand new here. I updated the stadiums - which are amazing. I uploaded some up to date rosters BSUFan v4 and the latest BSUfanFeb which is exactly what I was looking for. Now the question... I tried to update a player head - Corey Kluber from the download section here. I put the file into the 2k12 program. The player head was #3640. It did not replace any file - it just added to the long list of players heads. When I started the game using BSUFanv4 roster Kluber's face had changed as it was supposed to. But when I tried BSUFanFeb roster it was the old head without any changes. In this forum, the advice was to change the number using the roster editor. I did not find any roster editor besides the one to edit a player in the game and there was not an area to change numbers. Can someone please explain how to do this or which editor that people are talking about? Strange that it works with v4 from 2014 and not the latest roster. Thank you.
