  1. Don't have a clue why this has now happened. Been playing in franchise mode for a couple of months and was going to play May 30th game Padres/Cubs. Game has performed perfectly until this crash problem. I did add some Padres unis and player heads, so I re-installed all the original Padres unis and (using Ty's Editor) removed the Padres heads to the best of my memory. Game still crashes at the game mode select screen. It doesn't appear to be a memory problem. After playing all these games, it certainly shouldn't be a video card problem. Any thoughts other than going back and re-installing the original folders??....Sure hate to waste all those games and start from the beginning again......GRRR! EDIT---I should have mentioned, I already played two games against the Padres....This was the third game in the series and the unis and player heads were added before I started the series. So I don't understand why the game crashes now.

    Mlb2K Feedback

Sounds like you just might have a bad DVD.....I've had the game for months and everything works just fine. There always are a few things to complain about but overall I feel this is one of 2K Sports better efforts. Too bad it is their last year.
  3. I understand the strike zone definition. I guess my point is that 2k12 isn't really consistant on showing an accurate strike zone for each batter. Most often the top of the strike zone is shown as being letter high and even lower. I was just curious to see if there was a valid reason for 2k12 not following the actual strike zone definition.....No big deal.... Doesn't affect game play.
  4. I noticed when batting (as User) the opaque strike zone varies in size by batter....Some quite larger than others and it does not seem to be based on size of the batter. Does a smaller strike zone indicate the batter is tougher to strike out or does it mean he will swing at just about anything? Also, if there is a purpose to the size I assume it is based on some sort of history. Just curious.

    Changing Pitchers Role

tomk... Thanks!....Works just fine when you know how. Never dawned on me to look at the team rather than the individual player. Appreciate the help.
  6. I am playing franchise and I want to change a pitchers assigned role. I tried Ty's Editor and the pitcher's role indicates a certain assignment (mid-relief, starter, closer, etc.) but is grayed out and cannot be changed. I want to reassign my closer to long relief, which obviously I control when playing as the User...But when the AI is the User, the pitcher with the "CL" designation will always be used in a save situation. Something I am missing or am I stuck with the assigned pitcher's role?
  7. Ty's editor does show a "Healed date" as well as days remaining on the DL....Make the days remaining read "0" and the Healed date be the durrent date you are playing (or the day before)...That should return the player to active status.
  8. HR.... You said you saved the franchise and then made changes to my player. Did you save the franchise AFTER you made changes to yourself? If you didn't save the franchise after making a change, that could be your problem.
  9. Actually WB, that is what I have been doing. I would send a guy down to AAA to get him off the 25 man roster and replace him with another AAA player.....However, I wanted to see if there was another way of DLing a player when you, not the CPU, are in control. So far, Ty's editor seems to be working....I'll see if the Editor also removes him from the DL when the time is up.
  10. darth... BINGO!....Forgot all about Ty's editor. Had to play around with it a few times but that solved the problem. Sure is easy when you know how! :good: Thanks much!
  11. How 'bout doing the poor Cubbies?.... They need all the help they can get and getting some new faces certainly can't hurt!
  12. Playing franchise mode... I have DL option disabled...I think the answer is NO but is there a way I can manually put a player on the DL? If not, I guess the only way to remove him from the active 25 man roster and still keep him in the organization is to send him to the minors...Correct?
  13. I have noticed it is very difficult to walk an opponent as the manual User with Total Control Pitching.... I have the User pitching control difficulty set at 20 (and even have set it to 5) and still rarely, rarely do I ever walk more than two batters per game. I have the pitch aim set at "breakpoint aim" and I also installed the Pena1 accessory, which eliminates the pitching guide. I tried to make User Control pitching as difficult as possible and still find it very difficult to walk a batter. I have set the CPU batting contact at varrious levels to reduce the tendency to swing but I still find it very tough to walk a batter....Guess I should be happy but it does seem a little unrealistic....I do walk more batters when the User is the AI but not when I am in control. I also noticed that as the User, you do not need to fully complete the stick motion to make a pitch....Examples: ...Fastball requires a down stick motion followed by the up motion...You only need to complete the first motion for the pitch to be made. ...Slider requires a right stick motion followed by a swivel motion to the left...The pitch can be made by only making the right stick motion. Never noticed this before but it appears the AI does complete the piching motion for you, even though you are in control as the User and the pitch is not a wildpitch as you might expect. Just a few observations....Still a fun game to play.
  14. You obviously have not checked the Mod Announcement section. Your answer is there.
  15. I play the PC version and I also think MLB2012 is very playable. I have not had any problems in game play and so far have not had any game freeze or crash problems. Action apprears more realistic than previous years. Have tried both "Classic" and "Total Control" and both are very playable with the 360 controller. So far, very enjoyable. This is the best PC version, IMO, that 2KSports has offered.
