  1. Hey daflyboys, Great rosters as usual! Keep it up! I do have a few questions for you though. I tried doing a fantasy draft, some players are not included in the draft (ie Aaron Hill, Joe Mauer, Mark Teixeira, etc.) Do you know why that is? Also, the batting mini-game is still crashing for me (as is the pitching mini-game). It's probably not the roster itself, but is the Shane Reynolds character ID in your version? He's supposedly the pitcher ID for the batting mini-game, and I've had problems with him before, and I haven't been able to figure it out, including adding his ID manually. Any help would be much appreciated. All the best, Marc
  2. Not a serious pitcher, but I'm capable of it. I'm usually a catcher/second baseman/centre fielder. Days of pitching are likely done with rotator cuff tendinitis issues. It's also been a while since I've been clocked, so I couldn't tell you my speeds. I' 5'8", 160-pound righty. My main are: 1. Cutter/Moving 4 seam FB - has a late 3-9 cut, but not much movement. Slowly getting better. Past catchers keep telling me my FB changes in different directions when I throw (3-9, 2-8, etc), but I've yet to see it and don't believe them. 2. 2 seam FB - probably my best pitch in terms of velocity and movement. Usually goes 2-4. 3. Change-up/Circle Change - 3rd best best pitch. Thrown like a regular changeup, moves like a circle change 3-9. Movement changes based on holding/arm trajectory. 4. Sinker/Slider - 2nd best pitch. Thrown like a slider with a 2-8 trajectory. Sometimes it just sits there, and sometimes it bottoms out. 5. Curveball - worst pitch. Usually 2-7, but not enough speed or movement to use against hitters. Movement is getting better, but it just sits there begging to get crushed. Usually don't use it. 6. Splitter - now retired. Ton of 12-6 movement, but the speed drop is too much to be thrown to hitters. Was capable of throwing it years ago, but I can't get the movement back in it.
  3. Hey guys, Hope 2010 is off to a good start for everyone. This is kinda off-topic, but I thought I'd throw the idea out there in case anyone was interested. I'm running a sports website over at Voice of Valeri. It's basically just a website for sports news, rumours, opinions/editorials/columns, rants, etc., so everything from MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, F1, ATP/WTA, and FIFA are all covered, with a *major* stress on WWE, TNA and the former 4 sports. The site is fairly new, and while I've had time to write some articles for it, I don't have the free time I used to have, so I've only been pumping out news and rumours of late, which I'd like to change. Seeing as TNA is starting to make a push (not in my opinion, but everyone else seems to think so), I thought I'd see if there were any interested writers/bloggers for the site. So far, I recap Raws and the occasional SmackDown, but there are a few WWE bloggers, myself and another writer who recap WWE PPV's, one guy who does TNA and WWE editorials, and another guy who recaps TNA live events. Nonetheless, the more the merrier if that's your interest. Let me know if you're interested in blogging/ranting or whatever your deal is. The site generates a fair bit of traffic, so it's a good step to climb if you're an aspiring writer, or someone who blogs anyways and has no one reading it. I'm using it for portfolio purposes, so I'd like to keep it professional (obviously). This post was far longer than I wanted it to be. If you're interested in writing long arguments, short blogs, thoughts on a trade/rumour/signing/Pay-Per-View or whatever, let me know through here or by PM. If you're interested, you've got the freedom to do whatever you want - superstar bios, Raw/SD/iMPACT! recaps, PPV recaps, opinion rants, whatever you deal is. All the best, Marc
  4. Hey KG, Great work as always. Two part question; 1) The link you provided is dead 2) (for anyone who may know the answer to this) Is there any way to integrate new rosters into a dynasty/season without having to start over again? I've searched up and down the forums, but can't seem to find it, though I do remember stumbling upon it earlier. Any ideas would be much appreciated. All the best!
  5. I have a lot, but haven't done much since high school (20 years old, RHP), so I'm unsure how it would fair from righty to lefty. Moving 4 FB - 60ish at last check (oddly, all of my pitches have a weird spin, I have no idea why, which sucks when I'm on the field and trying to throw to a base) Change (12-6) - typical Cutter (3-9) - (I love this one, 3rd best pitch) 2 FB - (9-3/10-4) (I love this one too, 2nd best pitch) Splitter - (12-6) somtimes it works like magic, sometimes it doesn't move at all and sits on a tee Power Curve (2-6/7) (aka hard curve with less movement) Sinker - (12-6/11-5) still tweaking it, but decent Circle Change (12-6) - in production, pitch sometimes works, location is there Curve (2- - working on it, slow and lanky and hangs in the air, often lit up Game situation - Moving FB, 2 FB, Cutter, Change, Sinker on occasion
