I was going to ask what the major changes were between 1 and 2 that could have caused a bad file--sounds like you got that covered, though.

Saving might make sense--I'll try that next time. It worked once I did a clean install of MVP 08. I'd had it installed to a separate folder; this time I just had it overwrite the base MVP 05 folder.

OK--what about the possible duplicated free agents issue?

I notice that you have David Price on the Rays AND as a free agent. I wonder if the same player ID is nevertheless assigned to him--such that some AI team signs him around mid-April but he's also still on the Rays so a conflict emerges. Perhaps other players are replicated this way, too, though on my quick passthrough when I tried to use your rosters yesterday I only noticed Price right off. Mine froze at April 20 and then at April 22. On one freeze I had both the new LAA portraits also installed along with the 2012 schedules, and on the other it was only your rosters. So it doesn't' seem to be a conflict with another mod, if you were even considering that possibility anyway. Best of luck--can't wait to use these rosters in a full season!

I've just installed the most recently released 2012 schedule and 2012 rosters. I can't seem to update the year properly, however. I tried using TyWiggins' updater from the MVP 08 mod, but the updater window just opens and then immediately closes without letting me do anything, and the schedule does not update. I also tried using the year updater from the MVP 1994 mod, but with the same result--the window opens, closes 2 seconds later, and no year change. I have MVP open to my current dynasty when I try this. How can I fix this?

Hey guys, appreciate the trouble you're in and sorry you're in it. This new scheme doesn't affect me much since I don't download a whole lot anyway. However--have you guys considered the possible legal issues with this move? I'm not in any way providing or attempting to provide any sort of legal advice or admonition here whatsoever, but it's probably something you should consider. Charging money for access to modifications to content to which you do not own the copyright--no matter how noble or necessary the reasons--can potentially get you into hot water if EA or its parent company (do they have one?) suddenly "stumbles across" this site. It's different than offering the content free--it's obviously necessary to put some payment requirement in place in order to keep this community alive, but beware of straying into those gray areas. Again, I don't have any vested interest in any of this.

Quick question--thanks to this thread I've basically figured out how to use MVPEdit, but I haven't figured out how to place a player on the DL. Can anyone explain this? I.e., do I need to start a dynasty and import/export that file somehow?
