This is a memory editor made by a Taiwan guy called ying681 from Taiwan's PTT board.

Not sure if he has a account here.

And the memory address is provided by also a Taiwan fellow called sy031653 from gamebase.

Kudos to both of them.

btw, you can't keep the program running while finishing editing players,

or the locked memory will probably cause the game to crash. B)

Just save your edits and quit the program and you're good.

Does anyone know if this works on editing players' appearance that have changed to generic (post trades or call-ups)? ... or is it just for pitches/types?

Thanks in advance. Also, thanks for the re-update on the link.

I used the Editor made over 350+ Edits but sadly it crashed during game 1 of the franny I played with the modified roster in Quick Game Mode works fine but wont go past 1st game in Franchise very wierd. Thats the crash info down below. I am using Version 1.00 and made sure to select that one while running the unlocker. Backups for me I guess maybe someone knows how to fix.

ContextFlags = 0x0001003F...

Cougar420, did you figure out why your game crashed? Do you think there is an incompatibility between the editor and the game?

The idea of this tiny fancy tool is basicly allowing users to change a specific offset in memory,

037436C2, which is the "edit switch".

Normally the value of this "edit switch" is "04", and it can be changed to "05" with this tool,

which would unlock the edit function with the in-game editor.

One can check out this thread to know more about attribute location and the "edit switch".

When you're editing a player with the in-game editor,

usually the pitch type of a pitcher is not allowed to change.

Now pressing Alt-Tab to exit the game when editing a player,

and using this tiny tool to help you unlock the in-game edit function.

Go back to game again, and turn on the "edit switch" by pressing F1,

which changes it from 04 to 05,

the in-game edit function is enabled and you can change the pitch type now.

Be sure to press F1 again to turn off the "edit switch" (05 to 04) before saving your edit changes,

or the game would crash if attempting to use the "create a player" function.

Enjoy editing, guys. :)

try this markb

MLB2K9_UnlockEdit.rar

Tried it, it worked. Tried the second one again, it also worked. Then realised that it was editing the roster that it loads as default, which is an old version of Snash's rosters, so went to load the one I'm currently using - couldn't edit it.

Copied all the other roster files apart from my current one to another folder and left my current one in the Saves folder, attempted to edit it - couldn't. Pressing F1 in game just results in a sound I can't describe being played, pressing it again results in a Windows error sound being generated.

So, tried again with version 1.0 - couldn't edit my current roster with that either. Looks like I can only edit rosters that have already been edited by someone else.

Hi again everyone. If you've been reading this thread you know I've been playing with this program. I found a problem once you have passed the edit limit. Yes you can change players names and what not, but when you change a last name the game will remove the last name from one of the other players in the game.
