Without knowing what will be in 2k11, such as any new features or modifications, would you purchase a 2k11 that substantially fixed the problems with 2k10? So, if 2k sports came out and said that they've solved all of the unrealistic or bizarre issues that hampered gameplay, do you like the game enough to give it a go?

I ended up not playing 2k10 anywhere nearly as much as I thought, since there were simply way too many hits, and futzing with the sliders could only do so much.

Hopefully 2k11 starts looking more like nba 2k11, to compete with The Show.

Not played 2K10 in a while, but that's mainly because I've been too busy. I voted "Yes, as long as they fixed everything wrong with 2k10.", but, realistically, I have no expectations of buying it even if it's the best baseball game on Earth. I would play it, though, if they fixed the issues highlighted to them in 2K10. I sent two rather lengthy lists to Ron at 2K, so I'd be hoping to see those issues fixed at the very least.

The only way I buy 2k11 is if 2K Sports has a special on the price of the game that it had on opening day this year. I got 2k10 for something like three dollars plus tax for a digital download. If they don't have that next year then there is no way I will.

99% of the time I've played MLB 2K10 has been in the My Player mode... I might have played a total of 7 or 8 actual franchise/exhibition games. So while I like My Player, 2K would probably have to add something for me to want to get MLB 2K11. (Like the ability to mod more than textures... )

Exactly. If 2k opened the floodgates and provided a direct import into 3dsm, the game would be incredible and have a grassroots following. Instead, it's a laughingstock. I don't care what other features it has, if my player were solid, nothing too stupid happened, and we could create parks? Instabuy.

People seem to forget that MVP05 wasn't a great game when it came out. It was a good game we made great.

As long as there is a game like 2k10 that is available for the PC, I will buy it.....PC baseball gamers don't actually have much to choose from.

maybe,depends on the cash flow at the time.I like 2k10 and this time ill wait and see what people say about the game and if theres still the same probs then i may as well keep 2k10.No sense in buying something and just have the same game but different year in the title.My wish too is that they make it more easy to mod the unis and give us more control on what we can mod

I actually enjoyed 2k10 even with the bugs that weren't that bad, so I probably will buy 2k11. 2k10 was a big improvement from 2k9 IMO so hopefully that's a sign that 2k11 will be better yet.

That's what I said! But then I was thinking, what if someone bought the game for me? I mean if I can con someone into spending their hard earned money on this garbage then I'd try it. But then I'd start to feel guilty that I got someone to buy me this game. Which brings me back to what you said in the first place....

I place $4 each month in my secret stash which gives me $28 for April...
Forgo my monthly Wendy's #6 Spicy Chicken Combo for April which gives me $6 dollars &
$10 dollars for the love of a great player editor and the inability to ignore some of the great rookies MLB revealed this year.

Yeah, I'm a sucka for punishment, but one never knows when 2K will hatchet the PC version. Due to glitches and other oddities, I had to start my franchise over three times this year... If the Padres can bear what happened to them, I guess I can too. Here's hoping for 2K11's version of MLB.

The hitting mechanic in 2k10 was entertaining, but too easy.

It showed promise, perhaps a few years away from being competitive though I also imagine they are less than a few years away from bankruptcy as well.

I would not buy it.

Sadly (and I mean it when I say sadly) - 2K has a long way to go to catch up w/ The Show.

I am aware of the faults with The Show (none more persistance than the general "scripted" feeling - it has gotten better w/ each passing year - but it can still rear it's head)....

...but the faults I've found with 2K's game are just too numerous at this point.

PC Baseball Gaming is in a sad state - BUT - at least there is a "modern" game for PC gamers these days - this site has done what it can to keep MVP2005 alive - but there's only so much than can be done before sheer technology of newer products win out over the outstanding base that MVP provided.

Hopefully 2K or EA or someone, someday, will return PC Baseball Gaming to its heyday, like MVP2005 and it's modded followers...

...but right now - The Show beats all comers.
