2K9 Crashes After First Half Inning When Playing Citi Field

Hey guys,

Fired up 2k9 again lately and as before it works pretty decent with the right sliders. Only problem is the game crashes after the first half inning when playing on the citi field mod of driz 14 (which it didn't do the last time i had the game installed).

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this without completely reinstalling the game?

PS: my gaming pc is not connected to the internet. so there are no firewalls, anti-virus-progs or other background apps running. furthermore my pc more than exceeds the specs of the game.
