i mean should i just start doing tms with my roster set that i have cause it wont match everyone elses i have the lastest hiheat rosters and all of the facepacks installed

If you'd like to help us map out the minor league rosters, you're welcome to help, but SESbb, Playball, and myself have the MLB rosters well in hand

Playball: did you take some of the teams off of the FTP server while you work on the stats? I don't see them, and I'm beginning to think that I'm going crazy . . .

Sorry Chris, I did take them off and am posting back as I complete the stats. I had a couple hour delay as I noticed a problem importing Lahman stats (for historical stats) which I believe I have fixed. I had to export data from MVPEdit and the Lahman database to make sure the current Lahman mapped properly to MVPEdit. I have posted the MVPEdit config.txt file on the FTP if you guys wish to use it.

What would happen is I would import the historical stats and the numbers would be right, but sometimes the team associated would come in incorrect.

I have completed the following.

Red Sox, Blue Jays, Reds, Phillies, Brewers, and Braves.

Ryan: I finished the Cubs. Sorry about the delay, I've been so sick that I resembled an ogre the last few days.

Playball: I uploaded the Cubs-st-rdy to the FTP server.

I will begin working on the Astros today, and hopefully I'll have them and Pirates done by the end of the week, thus completing the NL Central.

I was starting to worry about how we were going to put together a roster of Free Agents, but this web page makes me feel a little better. We'll have to add a bunch of minor league misfits and perhaps a bunch of spring training cuts as well, but at least its a start.

They are a few mistakes on that page (e.g., Nick Johnson (CLE) , Joe Inglett (TBR)). A better source for Major League free agents might be:

Thanks Dylan, you're right, this is much better. BTW, do you know of any sources for free agent minor leaguers?

This list has every player who filed for Minor League Free Agency, but it doesn't tell you where or if they signed:

This list is every minor league transaction:

That's the best I could do.

didn't know about that free agency list. Very nice. Like you said, though, its usefulness is limited.

Ciao!

After more digging, I discovered this list of current Minor League Free Agents:

Pitchers: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/leader.cgi?type=pitch&year=2010&sort_by=IP&show_fas=1

Batters: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/leader.cgi?type=bat&year=2010&sort_by=AB&show_fas=1

keep up the good work guys...i'm using Chris's roster right now

I'm flattered jogar. Foward me your e-mail address and I'll keep you updated: Your work with the facepacks deserves that you have access to our latests playtesting roster. I'll work with you to make sure you are able to insert whatever new faces you have created into the rosters . . . you'd know more about compressions and ID and such than I would. This would mean that the release of the roster would include some of the data files (for the new facepacks), but I'm sure people wouldn't mind. Hm . . . perhaps Dylan and his schedule would want to be onboard too.

I'll work with Playball and Ryan (SESbb30) to get our rosters done ASAP so that we at least have the MLB rosters well-polished by opening day, and perhaps a bunch of the minors too. The minors rosters will be tricky, because they would not be set until around the last week, up to two weeks into the season, but I would love to finally get EVERY part of the MVP rosters fully up to date . . . so much more fulfilling for dynasty play.
