Alright, I just watched the Mets and Nationals on MLB tv online (since i don't have ESPN) And filled out some stances...

Nationals

Chavez - maybe vina or some kind of crouched stance

Guzman - Giles' pretty close

Vidro - either Upright or Boone

Guillen - Griffey/Ramirez Eventhough I might go with Griffey, a lot similar, especially how he holds the bat

Wilkerson - C. Jones

Castilla - Closed/Beltre

Johnson - Open

Schneider - Klesko

Hinckley (the pitcher) - Generic 1

Osik - Generic

Escobar - maybe Generic 1

Sledge - Durham (close enough)

Harris - Generic 1

Mets

Reyes - not sure..some kind of crouched/slight open stance

K. Matsui - His own stance

Beltran - Generic 1

Mientkiewicz - J. Giambi

Phillips - Upright

Wright - Generic 1

Diaz - maybe A. Rodriguez (or it was wright, but one of them had his stance at the closest)

Valent - Upright/Boone

McEwing - Generic 1 or Upright

Galarraga - Green

Castro - Crouched

Calloway - Generic 1

I remember editing my rosters in 2004 right after the Futures game with these changes:

Delmon Young = Manny Ramirez

B.J. Upton = Alex Rodriguez

Dallas McPherson = Larry Walker

I may be way off and I didn't look through all the new stances when I played 2005 at my friends house, but those were as close as I could get after watching one at-bat each. Plus these guys may have changed quite a bit since the Futures game. Just thought I'd try to be of some help though.

Rollins I would give Green b/c he looks a lot like Johnny Damon/Timo Perez in his stance.

Utley I would give Chipper Jones, b/c L. Gonzalez is too open

Pat Burrell is not Ordonez I can tell u that. He is the Kenny Lofton stance.

David Bell is upright or generic.

OK Anyhow, what I really wanted to post was that I think I have changed my mind on the Bonds stance. His stance is the Beltre stance. That was his stance in MVP 2003.

stances are such a subjective thing, really -- and hell, they even change throughout a career (mike bordick) or from AB to AB (cal ripken) -- i think the original list posted here is pretty accurate, considering the stances that are available in the game, good job --

Heres my try at contribution.

Seattle Mariners that I have tinkered with since MVP 2004.

Randy Winn: Should have either A.Jones or Kleskos (Casey) stance. Slighty open, high hands wiggle.

Raul Ibanez: The closest I can find is Ordonez. Vina and Matsui are just wrong because of the mannerisms built in.

Richie Sexson: I am using the 'crouch' stance right now becaus he is slightly bent over with the bat behind his head with some waggle.

Jeremy Reed: Luis Gonzalez is almost spot on! Extreme open with verticle bat movement behind the head.

Miguel Olivo: The closest I can find is Larry Walker. It isnt right but Olivo has an open stance with high hands and a flat (horizontal) bat over head.

Rafael Soriano: Generic #4 pitching motion

Joel Pineiro: Generic #6 pitching motion

Gil Meche: Generic #1 pitching motion

Thats all I got off the top of my head right now. The Ms are all I claim to really "know" so there you go.

I dont know if I agree with Pinero and Meche. With regards to Pinero Style 8 ( the default setting) is perfect for him because he does drop his glove to his waist when he throws. For Meche he does not bring his glove over his head like style 1 suggests. The default style 2 is right for him. Everything else looks great though, thanks!

Jimmy Rollins - Generic 1

Placido Polanco - Vina

Pat Burrell - Ordonez

David Bell - Generic 1

Chase Utley - L. Gonzalez

Ryan Howard - Ortiz

I agree with these except Utley. Kaz Matsui is great for Chase. Especially the way he points his bat right as he enters the box.
