"hard Disk Does Not Have Sufficient Space To Save"

Hey everybody! I'm new here, but have been playing MVP 2005 since it came out, off and on. I recently found my discs again and reinstalled after my last reformat, but have been having some issues. The game launches fine, and I can play no problem - everything seems to work as it's supposed to. The problem starts when I try to save anything - franchises, MVP profiles, replays, anything. I get the message "Hard disk does not have sufficient space to save".

I know for a fact this is not true, since I have a 3 TB data drive that I install all of my games to. However, that large of a drive makes me wonder - is there a hard upper limit on the amount of space that MVP 2005 can read? Has anyone found a workaround for this one (other than installing it on a smaller drive)?

Would appreciate any thoughts you might have for this one, as I'm a little lost.
