sean has uploaded a file for LA Coloseium,,wich is at best, a rough sketch as it were. Alpha release, I thinks that means it is not complete and still needs lots of work.

Apparently just creating any ol' stadium is not an easy task to do from

scratch. Gotta have the right CAD programs, textures and so forth, plus the knowhow.Hardly a Saturday afternoon project.

Most uploads are mods of existing stadiums, are much more highly polished up

with real adds thrown in to make them look better than the stock ones.

Some of these guys have gotten realy good at doing this!

I too would love too see stadiums like Ebbets Field,Baker Bowl,Seals Field,Old Comiski and Whales Field* done from scratch to the same standard as the original stock stadiums. But i don't know how to do that. No choice but to be patient.

Or maby next years big BB sim of whatever title will include them.

* Whales Field, for those not familiar with it, is one of the fields the Cubs played

Before they called Wrigley Field home.

If I had five or ten thousand dollars, I would try to find out the artists who did the work for EA and surreptitiously hire them to do Ebbetts. But I don't have that kind of money, and I doubt they'd risk their jobs for less. I'm guessing most or all of the artists on this game are Canadian. It would be great to get a Yankee Stadium that really had a 457-foot left centerfield, too. Oh well, some things remain trade secrets, I guess.

  • 5 weeks later...

i would love to see someone do navin field(early tiger stadium) circa 1935 it's upper deck extended from a little past third base to just past first. there were no stands in the outfield, and it had it's scoreboard on the leftfield wall, and down the rightfield line was 370' from home plate. after the 1935 season tiger owner walter briggs began to expand into what evenually became tiger stadium

Thanks SeanO,

This IS a great resource!

Hey, the list shows that Milwaukee County

Stadium I and II are available for download

but I can only find Stadium II (Brewers version).

Can you or anyone tell me where to find version

I?

I found version II here. Does that mean that

the version for the Braves is the same as the version

for the Brewers??

Well,

downloaded milcounty stadium. Text file says to save the

*.big (data/stadium) and *.txt (data/) as a003nite.*.

Did so and no go. There is no a003nite stadium. All I get

is the a003day stadium as an option.

Ok,

so I then choose a different *nite.big/txt stadium and overwrite

(aaa2nite.big/txt). I get the milwaukee sign with not crowd and

a screwed up infield (i.e. players not on base when on base, etc.)

Ok,

so i delete a003day.big and replace with the downloaded stadium

(a003nite.big/txt). Now this is wierd. I play an exibition game to test

and get............... a003day.big as the stadium (spring training A day)!

In short. I can not get milcounty stadium to work day or night AAA or A!!!!

HELP!!

SeanO

I tried changing the name to a003day.txt and a003day.big and

putting them in the data and data/stadium folders. The runners

still do not stop on the base when looking at the "on-base" pic

in the upper right hand corner and there are no fans in the

outfield. Is this correct??

"No park has the runners stopping on the bag, that's just how it goes."

Maybe we are talking about different things here.

Every field that I have ever used except this one has an accurate

depiction of runners leading off and being on base in the small

infield pop-up in the upper right hand corner of the screen during play.

With this version the runners are to the left of the bag on first,

behind the bag on second, etc.. I was not referring to overrunning

the bag.

I believe that I have intalled the files correctly.
