I was playing the new beta last night, which I love and am curious, when the power shows say 77 what does that include? I saw Morgan Ensbergs power facing righties and lefties was below 80 on both, but he hit 36 hr last year. Will he still have the potential to hit 36 hr with the power in the 70's? I saw that on a few other pple as well. Thanks for your thougts

Ensberg is one of those guys that doesn’t CRUSH the ball out of the park (like McGwire used to), but he’ll hit them out in that 420ish range (with a few longer). Playing in Houston also ups his power potential. I think a rating in the 70’s is just about right. Last year has the look of a career year anyways, but he still has 30 HR potential.

OK thanks Tribe. Maybe I should make the power on some of the players a little higher, then. I just don't want to be hitting 60hr with a player who should only be hitting 25-35 hr that's all. i can see it now Furcal hitting a career best 50hrs in Yankee stadium :p well thanks for the input guys, any more suggestions would be grateful as well.

here's what I use

ratings; real life BA

90+: .310+

80-90: .290 - .310

70-80: .270 - .290

60-70: .250 - .270

50-60: .230 - .250

power; real life SLG%

90+: .550+

80-90: .500 - .550

70-80: .450 - .500

60-70: .400 - .450

50-60: .350 - .400

haven't tested it yet, but I've redone every team up to the Angels now. I don't use these "formula's" without thought, I mainly use them as guidelines while taking progression, career year, ballpark and age into account.

feel to use them or give comments.
