File Name: Texas Rangers Uniform Update ver 1.0

File Submitter: jhtapp76

File Submitted: 27 Mar 2010

File Category: MLB 2K10 - Uniforms and Accessories

This update includes modified home, away, BPH, and alternate jerseys (home and away) for the Texas Rangers for MLB2K10. It also includes a new uniform.ter file to update Ron Washington's jacket. I found the original Rangers' uniforms to be way too dark. This mod includes brighter blue caps and jerseys plus some other minor updates.

Since there are only two slots available for alternates, you will have to copy over the alternates depending on whether you are home or away.

Install:

1) Extract the contents of this ZIP file to the location of your choosing.

2) Backup all the existing files starting with "uniform_ter" in your MLB2K10 installation directory

3) Copy the extracted IFF file(s) to your MLB 2K10 directory (this will overwrite the existing files, see step #2 first)

For away games, copy over the alternate away jerseys. This will overwrite the home alternates. For home games, copy the home alternates from their location.

Thanks to all the modders out there that make this game look even better! I hope you enoy this one as much as I am enjoying the work of others.

Why do we have to copy the home-away alternates? Shouldn't they be separate jerseys we could choose??

Because there is only one slot for Alternate 1 (Red jerseys) and one slot for Alternate 2 (Blue jerseys). The only difference between the home and aways in this case is the gray pants fow away. So if you don't care about gray pants for away games, no need to copy the alternate aways over the alternate homes.

If someone knows a better way around this, I'm all ears.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me about the grey pants with blue or red jerseys. I was just wondering why we'd have to switch them manually. Seems like alot of trouble just to change jerseys and pants.

Yeah, it is a pain. Unfortunately we can't even use the additional slots available for classic unis until we crack the batting helmet thing. Otherwise, you'd get modern alternates with batting helmets from 1973 (for example). Or maybe at some point someone can figure out how to add slots for away alternates.
