Houston In Al?

Ok guys I have a situation involving this question.

I adjusted the team.dat file to put Houston in the AL West

And I edited a roster inside the game (filename mlb.sav)

When I load the roster and try 2 play a season using that roster, Houston reverts BACK 2 the NL

Any solutions 2 getting Houston back in the AL?

Much thanks for your help, all u guys who contribute to my enjoyment of the game THANKS!!

I just re-read this message again. I'm not positive, but a possible reason for this problem could be because you are editing a roster INSIDE the game and creating a .sav roster, rather than editing the roster files in the datadatabase folder with MVPEdit. The .sav rosters do not use the .dat files that are in the datadatabase folder, so they won't necessarily pull in the changes you made to the team.dat file.

Jim825 thats EXACTLY what I did

I had put a lot of time into editing the rosters INSIDE THE GAME and just didnt want to have to use MVPedit to re-edit all that info

But looks like if I want 2 have Houston in the NL thats what I will have 2 do

Any shortcut to converting my .sav roster 2 an mbe file?

Thanks for all ur help guys

sorry if there was confusion, thanks 4 clearing it up for everyone daflyboys

I can't get this to work for some reason. I have the correct file ( team.dat in data/database) and edited the Astros line to the 4 0, 5 0.

Just not sure what I am doing wrong or if it is because I edited a roster within the game. Though, I tried starting a season with default rosters and it still didn't work.

Thanks Jim, I didn´t know any of this... :good: My only problem is I can´t create a schedule using Dylan´s random schedule generator :fool: , but at least Houston is in the AL :clapping:

I think part of it is that Dylan's schedule generator was done with a certain version of Excel and if your version is older, it won't work.

Not really. And not operating system, lar. More like M$ office tools. I think he constructed it in Excel 07. Doesnt matter if you're on XP, Vista, 7, etc.

I actually created the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel 2003.

Other users who couldn't get the generator to work in the past have managed to get it working using Excel 2007, (http://www.mvpmods.c...pic=38676&st=20).

Sometimes, the location of the generator will cause errors. I've managed to create schedules on my desktop.

Laroquece, did you ever get it working? If not, is there a specific error message you're getting?

Hi! I've got a problem. I have modded my MVP2005 to MVP12. Now I'm trying to install 2013 rosters (I've tried both tugofca one and grmrpr1313 one but it's the same) and when I do it, the Astros come back to NL! Before, I had changed the line in the team.dat file with notepad to:

00b87f3f1,0 Hou,1 Houston,2 Astros,3 HOU,4 0,5 0,6 22,7 0,8 0,9 0,10 0,11 0,12 1,13 0,14 0,15 0,16 0,17 0,18 0,19 0,20 1,21 0,22 0,23 0,24 0,25 0,26 0,27 0,28 1,29 0,30 0,31 0,32 0,33 1,34 1,35 0,36 0,37 1,38 0,39 0,40 0,41 2,42 0,43 2,44 1,45 2,46 1,47 2,48 1,49 1,50 2,51 0,52 2,53 1,54 0,;

I've tried everything (deleting the files and not overwriting them, saving the team.dat file to desktop and then putting it into the database folder, after having deleted the old team.dat file, modifying the schedule.big file before or after having modified the team.dat file) but it doesn't work. I've also tried changing the number after the 6 but nothing: the Astros remain in the NL. Only playing the default version of MVP12, the Astros regularly move to the AL. I underline that I haven't done any in-game editing, only installed the two versions I said before of 2013 rosters.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!
