Their home uniforms were manufactured by both Wilson & McAuliffe. The number font was quite unique. As you can see from the jersey above, it's a cross between block and varsity. I had to use Google, watch the taping that I have on the 1971 All-Star game, check Ebay, etc., to get a little grasp on what was being used. I believe that they used and put together their own font as they did for the 1973 jerseys and others through the franchise's history. I did my best at trying to put the font together. If there's something wrong, please pm me and I'll fix it. Some of the players from the 1971 team were Willie Mays, Chris Speier, Ken Henderson, Gaylord Perry, John Cumberland and Dick Dietz. Willie Mays and Willie McCovey started the All-Star game and Bobby Bonds and Juan Marichal were subs. They won the NL West but were defeated in 4 games by the Pirates. Enjoy!
