Specifically, I noticed last night that I everytime I clicked Javier Baez (on the Cubs) in the Manage Rosters section or when he came up to bat during a game...the game would freeze and crash to desktop. Obviously there was some strange issue with his portrait. I found a portrait of him from last season and installed that with TiT and everything worked fine. It crashes when i try to edit a player, or right before I play a game. Any suggestions? Otherwise, you are going to have to take the roster into MVPedit and add real or fake player to fill out all of the minor league rosters to at least 24 guys for each team. Simmed season with injsusp ON and cpu initiated trades OFF and game froze up somewhere near the end of April, then simmed with injsusp MLB ONLY and cpu initiated trades OFF - same thing... Only inj/susp OFF and cpu trades OFF successfully simulates the whole season. But it takes off that random factor of injuries and trades from the game... so i am just trying to make it work... I tested your rosters and found out that only Phase4 (no alternate) works with inj/sup MLB ONLY and cpu trades OFF. all other rosters from you (Phase 1, 2, 3, and 4 alternate, and also MVP14 default roster) freeze up around end of April, beginning of MAY (simulation of season) in MVP12 MVP13 MVP14 ...14-test.zip Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

LouisvilleLipp Posted September 22, 2014 Share Posted September 22, 2014 Just dug out my MVP 05 discs to try out MVP 14 and am trying to install it on Win 7 Home Pro machine. Will it run on Win 7? Also getting error messages saying that the disc is not being recognized when loading the game, and please insert correct cd-rom and re-start application when the disc is already loaded. I just installed MVP14 on Win 8.1, everything went well, played one game, and simmed another....no issues to report at this point. I do however have to get better game play tuning numbers : ) I left everything at default....snooze. What mods should you download next: Keep in mind that you have the latest stadiums installed already so you are set there along with the latest roster. Any other mod you want to install is entirely up to you. Just remember to back up your files. Customize the game the way you want it to be. I use a logitech gamepad. I got it for a good price on Amazon and it never gave me a problem. Some people do use the X box controller for this game and there is a thread somewhere that tells you how to do it. Yeah I did notice that too. Some pitchers are missing. I think Shane Greene is missing from the Yankee roster. I believe this can be fixed by Mvpedit but I am not 100% sure of the steps.
