rynox
It happens all the time, I want to sub a pitcher and accidentally sub some starter that isn't warmed up. Is there anyway to go back and resub, or am I stuck with that pitcher for the batter? Don't laugh, I'm a noob. Link to comment https://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/14206-problem-with-pitcher-sub/ Share on other sites
mooseknucks
Just manually do it ... Press Pause -> Roster Options -> Pitcher Options -> Pitcher Substitution -> Sub the pitcher warming up. Hope this helps. Link to comment https://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/14206-problem-with-pitcher-sub/#findComment-171125 Share on other sites
rynox
It won't let me. Once I sub, the Substitute Pitcher option is greyed out until the next batter. mooseknucks
I think he has to at least throw a pitch. Throw one outside the zone and than resub. Link to comment https://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/14206-problem-with-pitcher-sub/#findComment-171129 Share on other sites
rolliefingers08
it's actually a rule that he has to go through one batter, either getting the out or getting him on base. if it's a bad hitter, i simply just pitch around the zone and hopefully i can get the out, and if it's someone good, i'd just walk him. there isn't a way around it, unless you go back to the manage menu you might be able to sub the guy in and go back to the game, i'm not sure. a lot of things are messed up on the manage menu. spitoon
I've had the same thing happen a few times, you just have to be careful...the rule is that the pitcher has to face a batter, so throwing one pitch won't do it (unless he hits it).
