Crazy Idea- Would It Be Possible To Predetermine In-Game Draft?

2 posts in this topic

In Owner Mode. Right now, it's all fake players. But could you do something so that 'real' players are in there? I have two ideas:

First is obviously more complicated: Start the game in a previous season (like 2005, or 1970 or whatevs), and then when the draft roles around, the players FROM THAT DRAFT are there. Or at least, the ones in the game. Maybe even have the teams pick the 'right' players.

But that's a pipe dream. What if, though, it just went through the players who have retired (in the game) and sprinkle them in there. Not with the same stats, necessarily; just the pics and faces, names...

Are either possible? I'm guessing no, but thought I might as well ask.

You could import real players and their faces, ids, audio, etc. but you would have to make sure they don't overlap with players already in the game. There is a limited number of unique cyberfaces (something like 900) allowed in the models.big file. Your best bet in terms of ease would be to use a standard roster for MVP 2005 that includes the legends and heroes who were in the original game.
