Normal Install instructions

WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into

the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because

of the way 2k does their files

Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install)

This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals.

Download from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html

and follow thier directions.Once installed there should be a folder called *MODS*

Inside this folder u can create another folder. For example if u just want national league

modded unis name a folder NATIONAL LEAGUE and place my unzipped uni files

inside this folder.Start the enabler and choose the folder that has the mods

then start the game and the unis should be available. If u want to revert back to the originals

then just shut down the enabler again these will not have the correct color codes

In 1960 the American league awarded 2 cities as expansion teams. One was Los Angeles

and the other would be in the Twin Cities(Minneapolis and St Paul),but instead of

just expansion the Washington Senators packed thier bags on moved to Minnesota.

This left a void in the expansion and so they awarded Washington the expansion

and for the 1961 The Minnesota Twins,La Angels and Washington Senators would all

be ML franchises. But long before the expansions the original Washington team

became a ML team in 1901.Like other teams the unis were the normal style for that time of

of the era.All trim was black including stockings.2 wide black bands on the pillbox type hat.

"Washington"spelled out on the jerseys.Wanting to disassociate with the defunct

NL Senators of the 1890's the club officially declared themselves as the "Nationals"

for the 1905 season. In 1906 they decided to change thier look for the road jerseys

and changed from the normal grey to black with white trimmings and an old english "W"

on the pocket. The new Nationals fared no better than the teams before them as they stayed

buried at the bottom for the entire decade..As often seems the case with a losing club

uniforms always continued to change every year.As an effort to escape the voodoo of

being a loser the 1907 club restored the capital "W" at home and "Washington"on dark blue

road uniforms.1908 it was back to "Washington" for home then 1909 back to the "W" then 1910

the "W" was used for both home and away.Things looked up for the Nats in 1910 and 1911

as the great Walter Johnson 25 games in both seasons.1912 the team started into the pinstripe

years and began to be contenders. In fact they would win 2 pennants in 1924 and 25 and the

world series in 1924.The pinstripes would last until the 1926 season.

The new uniforms were just plain white and greys with a touch of color on the collar

and sleeve ends. They would also wear a patriotic shield on the left sleeve.Stockings

would be white with 1 red and 1 blue stripe. The cap would be white with red bill and a dark blue"W".

Walter johnson retired after the 1927 season and the team began a couple decades of hardships

and losing seasons, with the exception in 1930.For 25 years they were known for

mostly losing seasons. They were so bad that SF chronicle writer charley Dryden joked,

"Washington:first in war, first in peace and last in the American league"They did contend in 1943

and 1945

Owner Clark Griffith dies in 1955 and adopted son Calvin took over the team.In 1956 after

after 50 years of being known as the "Nationals" they finally renamed themselves the "Senators"

Even with the name change it did nothing for the team as they still finished in 7th place

and in the next 3 years they narrowly kept from losing 100 games(99-91-93 concestutivly)

Calvin sold Griffith stadiumto the city of Washington leading to speculation that he was planning on moving.

With prospective moves one was San Francisco and the other Minn-St Paul in which a deal

was finally reached in 1960.

1961 for the first time an entire state would be used to identify a new team

as the team from Minn-St Paul would be named the Minnesota Twins.

Scarlett and navy blue would be the team colors. This was a carry over from the

1960 senators uniforms.Home whites were pinstriped with Twins as a slanted script

and a special patch on the left sleeve which portrayed 2 players shaking

hands across the river which was a symbol of the twins cities alligiance.

A navy blue cap displayed interlocking white"T" and red "C".They avoided an "M" for

fear that it would be suggested they were a Minneapolis team only.

The stocking and undershirts were solid blue. This uniform stayed set for the next 10 years

and during the 60's in this uni the twins were contenders with a pennant in 1965 and

a close 2nd in 1967.This time also produced players like Harmon Killebrew

and Tony Oliva.A few changes came thru the following years including the popular 70's

double knits and the twins stayed in the middle of things thru the 70's with

a new hitting phenom by the name of Rod Carew.

In 1987 with the franchise finally a solidfied established statewide team and no longer a fear

to offend St Paul fans the team changed from the "T""C" to "M" and finally

the Twins won thier first championship.

the included files represent the 1917 nationals and the 1956 senators and they are the

home and away iff's
