Young players in 1971...Larry Bowa, Greg Luzinski, a VERY lucrative trade during the off-season (1971-72) of sending Rick Wise to the Cardinals for Steve Carlton, and rookies coming up in the the next couple seasons (Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone,...) would propel the Phils into the NLCS in 1976-78 and win them a World Championship in 1980.
