Stealing Question

For some reason I am having trouble stealing , soemstimes i can swipe a base but I am gunned by a mile almost all the time even with fast runners. I get 2-3 step leads and when I hit the directional button towards second as soon as the pitcher winds up the player does not go. i know it has somthing to do with the steal delay but Im not sure if I want it in the negatives or the positives

Move the steal delay slider to negative, and then also move user steal speed posivtive just a little. Tweak it until you at least get close plays, if you over tweak it, then stealing will become way too easy.
