AgentQ16 Posted February 25, 2006 Share Posted February 25, 2006 hey, i want to install the MVP 06 mod but it says to install EA Patch 2 and 3 first. So , i download the two patches , but when I try to install them I get the follwoing message error and it stops almost immediately: "Old file not found, however, a file of the same name was found. No update done because file contents do not match." And then it closes without installing the EA patches. Do I need these before I install the mod? If so, why can't I install them? MaddiesDaddy Posted February 25, 2006 Share Posted February 25, 2006 ditto....For any patch to work you need the EA created files which the patch is going to update in their appropriate folder. In other words, if you have modded the particular file that the patch is going to update the patch will not run.
