spitoon Posted June 23, 2004 Share Posted June 23, 2004 The datafile.txt only exists if you have extracted it from the datafile.big, which resides in the /data/datafile folder. Really, there is no reason to extract it though. If you just place any downloaded datafile.txt in the /data folder (not /data/datafile) the game will recognize and use it. So in reality, if this is the first time you have done anything with a datafile, then don't worry about it. If you don't like the changes that the downloaded datafile makes, just delete it and the game will automatically revert to the original one that is compressed into the datafile.big file...
