Recommendation on video card for the game?

I'm running a Geforce 4 MX 420 and the game runs fine with the mod, but the player detail is low. I'm thinking about upgrading to a GeForce FX 5500AGP 256 MB. I know this is an older card, but I believe this would be a good upgrade. Anybody know if this would do the trick? I know their are better cards but I only have a 250W power supply.

8) I myself use the ATI Radeon XL800 256 MB PCI Express graphics card and it runs everything smooth as butta!! I have it maxed out on all settings basically on every game that I play. The MVP 06 modworks great on my system.

um...well it depends...what slot do you have? AGP or PCIe...im guessing your american so I only know Canadian prices...but pretty much look for a Nvidia card and either the 6 Series or the 7 series...ATI has lots of problems and Nvidia is pretty much the standard now...my friend got a deal at compusa and got a 7800 512mb card for 100...but it was like a leftover card from a clearance...pretty much just look around for the best deal you can get and try for the 6 series or 7 series

ATI doesnt have lots of problems, at least with their AGP cards. That has been my experience. I have had the 9800 and now the x800 256 Meg AGP card and have never had issues. I prefer not to use the whole Catalyst install though and use OmegaDrivers.

The Nvidia 6800 and 7800 are top AGP cards too. From what I have seen though posts is that most of the issues with graphics and funky things tend to come from Nvidia cards.

Nvidia is the leader in the market right now and for good reason...the only people that have problems with Nvidia is because they havent updated their drivers...once you install the newest drivers everything is fine.

In my experience for MVP Baseball 2005, overall, the ATI cards function better and have less crashing issues than the nVidia.....

Of course, it varies from card to card and for other games, the reverse may be true...

How do you know what drivers to get? I have an NVIDIA on my old laptop that I am fixing but I am not sure what card it is how do I find this out?
