golfguy10 Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 It's sad the way the hacks on ESPN and other networks continually kiss the events a$$ without really bringing up any of the actual " baseball " accomplishments he achieved. It's all about black managers and blah blah blah - don't get me wrong - I agree the best man should get the job and Mr. Robinson's point was exactly that - the best man didn't get the job. But the knuckleheads on the air and Morgan is the worse - how about what qualified the guy to be an expert on what his point was? Top that off team sports should never dedicate specific players as hero's. None of these guys could do it alone. I guess what I'm ranting about is Joe Morgan is $hitty announcer. medric822 Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Not as bad as Jackey, but if it wasn't for him, maybe it would have been 20-30 years until we had a black ball player, maybe even never. And I said before, and I'll say it again, I dont think that these players shold wear # 42 on Robinson day, because I think it shows some disrespect for what he went through. Say one of those guys starts a bench clearing braw. That will be as bad as slapping Jackie in the face, because he never even spoke back in his playing days.
