YankeeFan4Life101 Posted April 19, 2007 Share Posted April 19, 2007 Alright this was so weird today I was looking to play 3 people at one point or another and I couldn't make a connection with any of them. Upon further inspection I learned that the IP in the MVP box did not match my IP I am using. How the hell could I change the Ip inside the box in MVP where it says Host IP it wont allow you to change it. Am I going to have to reinstall everything? wierdijk Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 The IP shown in the Host IP section of the game has no bearing whatsoever on your connectivity. If you gave the other guy your public IP (the one you can find on www.whatismyip.com) you and he should be able to connect. If you host and the other player goes to Join IP and enters the correct IP (your computer's address) the game will look for that address. The problems you had may be caused by a lot of other things, but not by the IP shown in Host IP. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TribeFan4Eva Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 if you join hamachi, it gives you a separate ip address and it makes it easier to connect. you may have used your router ip address....was it "192.168.1.100" or something similar?
