danc Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 Hey, I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems finishing a game at Oriole's Park with MVP08? Every game I play there crashes! They have occurred as early as the 2nd inning and as late as postgame. I give up. I had no problems playing games at SafeCo but have had to sim every game at Orioles Park after playing each one first.... a couple were played twice because I unistalled and reinstalled twice. Only changes have been ingame.big (5/6/2007) and igonly (5/6/2007) my preferred ingame settings, and Reschanger.exe (3/30/207) to play at 1600 x 1200 which is my default desktop settings. Help. Do all teams crash or just the Mariners? It could be a cyberface or overlay issue. I'd try downloading another overlay... danc Posted August 9, 2008 Author Share Posted August 9, 2008 Sorry, I have not tried other teams as I am starting a season/dynasty/ franchise with the Mariners. The only other thing I can think of is I use a separate datafile.txt (3/16/205) file in my data directory so that I can get a custom "4-center" veiw for hitting. I have not changed the datafile.big file that came with 2k8. Again, it seems to work at SafeCo. My next try is in Tampa Bay. Thanks for the help. Hey, I noticed something odd while playing at Oriole Park and just figured it was a 2k8 glitch. The announcer, after the 7th inning, would always say "after 6 innings of play ....."! When I played at TB the announcer gave the right inning after seven. Just another strange thing I noticed after playing/simming many games there. Have no idea whether this helps or not.
