Right as Rain Posted March 7, 2009 Share Posted March 7, 2009 After 5 complete games, and dealing with most of the nuances most people have talked about, I'm still enjoying the game. I've had some pitching duels, hitting duels, and everything else inbetween so far. There's too much contact being made, that's for sure. And there's a laundry list of small bugs/weird fielding..etc But at the end of the day, the graphics are quite pleasant, and the game is simply a lot of fun. Franchise mode has some nice things: * The AI has offered legitimate trades (to strengthen their weaknesses) * The menus and league news/statistics/franchise stats/extras seem relevant/seamless and add nice depth to the game * Pitching fatigue is quite realistic (especially the bullpen) * Hot and cold streaks are nicely represented * diverse hit variety * lots of customization (with sliders and settings) * run speed and arm strength/velocity seem pretty accurate * graphics with a high end LCD 1900x1200 w/ 1gb graphic card make this the best looking baseball game out. negatives: buggy fielding too much contact being made (both human and cpu) Anyway, the game is fun. I'm hoping they will release a patch soon to fix some of the issues, like they did for NBA 2k9. The only thing preventing me from starting a franchise is I'm waiting for some roster updates.
