What's the quickest way to find out if the patch is installed?

Other than checking the version number because i got my game from gamestop and had to manually copy/paste the files. Also, I can't seem to really tell if the batters are more aggressive. First baseman errors only happened about once in 7-8 games for me prepatch so thats no good..outfielder errors are also not every game thing, and many people say that error still exists <_<

does anyone know of an easy way to find out?

sorry if this is kinda..stupid

Nah...not stupid...I had the same concern...

Here's what I did:

Check out this Link from 2K forums regarding the sliders pre/post patch...

Compare them with the ones on your game...

Hope that helps!

Edit: Hmm..link not working...

Here's one slider to check out:

User batting contact (Pro Difficulty): Pre-patch: 60 Post-patch: 50

The best way, I think: Try to double switch before you put a Pinch hitter. With patch this option is now available. Before the patch this option is broken. Other thing you try is the fix of 8th inning crash bug. This bug is fixed. I hope this two points help you.

PD Sorry for my bad English.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm a bit confused here. I purchased my DVD copy from Gamestop. I've downloaded the patch from 2K9's website. When I extract the zip file I get a exe file. When I run that it is supposed to update my game however when I goto the MLB2K9.exe file and right click and select propeties its shows version 1.0.1.1 and product version 1.0.

I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Thanks in advance.
