stecropper
Apologize for the reposting of this question - I incorrectly posted it in the 2005 General forum initially and this is a 2004 related question. What are the maximum and typical # of Ks your K-Type Starting Pitchers record within a given game? From my observations Starting Pitchers seem to realistically record a fair number of Ks the first time through an opposing teams batting order. Then thereafter it seems the # of Ks become very minimal at best. Same holds true for relievers, I imagine, since they do seem to record a fairly realistic # of Ks in their short relief appearances but seldom get through the batting order more than once so I can't really assess this for them. My Starters, that are high K-Type guys in real life, frequently record 4-5 K's the first time through a lineup but drop off noticiealy thereafter. Typically ending up with 5, 6 or occasionally 7 during a complete game outing. I wonder if there is anything in the Datafile that might effect this which could be adjusted if in fact it is true? Thanks for your insight on this.
