The Left Shoulder Pad is for leading off and stealing. Tap it to increase your lead. To steal, you Hold it in and release it. It's all about timing. There are a couple of threads on stealing, just keyword search for them. *Also, there are Tutorials for Hitting, Pitching, Fielding, and Baserunning under Game Modes.
