Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball League

Here is the league info:

- The live online draft is set for Mon Mar 29 8:30pm CDT

- Head-to-Head scoring

- There are 4 divisions, and each division winner makes the playoffs, as do some wildcard teams (maybe 2 or 4, we'll see)

- The roster is a legitimate 25-man roster; all position players, a utility player, a 5-man rotation, 6-man bullpen, and 5-man bench (with 2-man DL)

- Keepers selected after the season, the amount is unlimited -- you can keep anywhere from your whole team to no one, just like real life.

- Batters Stat Categories: Runs ®, Hits (H), Singles (1B), Doubles (2B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Intentional Walks (IBB), Putouts (PO), Assists (A), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS), Hitting for the Cycle (CYC), Grand Slam Home Runs (SLAM)

- Pitchers Stat Categories: Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Complete Games (CG), Shutouts (SHO), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Relief Wins (RW), No Hitters (NH), Perfect Games (PG)

Join if you're interested in a challenge -- 25-man rosters, combined with a lot of owners, means less good talent will be freely available and puts a big emphasis on a well-executed draft and having some solid bench players and bullpen, meaning good role players, not just big stars.

And since it's destined to be a keeper league, those interested in the long term are preferred. Also, stats and league rules are subject to change once we all start discussing them -- I'm looking to create a league with some intelligent stats that really reflects today's sabermetric side of the game as much as possible.

I have never done fantasy baseball so I am interested in playing. You'll have to teach me the ropes though!
