For example, what happens when a guy has a speed of 99 but a baserunning ability of 25? Speed about 90 Baserunning Ability - probably 20 or less. This guy could fly but made more outs on base than you could even imagine. jg2977 Posted February 22, 2005 Share Posted February 22, 2005 Baserunning ability probably also refers to bad baserunning decisions - for example, trying to go from 1st to 3rd with nobody out on a single to right field, and the right fielder has a rocket for an arm. Another example could be trying to score on a sacrifice fly on a shallow pop to the outfield. Yet another example could be not attempting to take the extra base when it's not too risky. All of these examples could be the effect of a runner with poor baserunning ability. Butty03 Posted February 22, 2005 Share Posted February 22, 2005 I would have to agree with paulw on this one, because Alex Sanchez was always getting caught stealing when he was with The Brewers. At least, when we had Scott Podsednik these past two years he did not always get caught stealing bases. Has anyone here ever played Backyard Baseball 2005 for The PC because my friend Josh really likes it for Gamecube?
