ceemonki44 Posted March 17, 2005 Share Posted March 17, 2005 During a spring training game Edwin Jackson was throwing to Einer Diaz (who isn't too bad defensively), whenever Jacksons fastball got up over 100mph on the outside half of the plate it was though Diaz couldn't react fast enough and the ball would go flying to the backstop. This ended up happening 5-6 times in the game. All of the pitches were called strikes which made this incident quite bizarre and very annoying with baserunners on.
