Joseph
I am looking for the original rosters, I pulled the .dat files and now want to put them into a readable format I can use for excel. Does anyone know where to find an excel sheet of the stock rosters? If not, how do I pull data from the .dat files and put it into an excel sheet? Am I just going to have to do it manually? Ive tried MVPedit but that file doesn't work at the moment. Quote Link to comment https://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/75464-original-vanilla-rosters/ Share on other sites
Jim825
MVPEdit is 20 years old and runs fine on Windows XP and Windows 7. It won’t run (like many of the tools here) on newer versions of Windows. The .dat roster files are CSV files. Just change the file extension from .dat to .csv and you can open them in Excel. Joseph
Understandable, I could try to run MVPedit on an old system of mine. Yes I saw you reply on a previous thread about that suggestion. I gave it a try and it did open in excel. The only problem is it, like the .dat file, is illegible giberish and code. This might be a silly question so forgive me: but how do I decipher that illegible code into plain english?
