MVPedit Portraits

I can't seem to find this anywhere on the boards, so i'll ask away here:

What are the kinds of BMP's to use as the picture and alpha in MVPedit. Like, 128x128, 16 bit, 24 bit, grayscale, what are all the settings I need in order to get the portraits with transparent backgrounds?

Right now all i'm getting are white backgrounds with transparancies where the head should be.

Any help would be appreciated!

By no means is this the right or correct way but here's how I do it - mind you this is only if I'm doing 1 or 2 players...

Make the portrait 128x128, make the background transparent and save as psd (PhotoShop). I keep one portrait fsh on my desktop at all times - I'll just use EA Graphics Editor to import my psd file. Then right-click on the fsh (on my desktop) and open with nfshtool...the creates a folder. Inside that folder are the 2 bmp's you'll need to add portraits w/MVPEdit.

Make the portrait 128x128 bmp

Double click on the player's portrait.

Add your pic and use the default 8 bit alpha that is included in MVP Edit.

You could also make an 8 bit alpha mask and use that instead to remove the background and have it look like the other portraits in the game.
