Mvpedit And Vista Runtime Error...

I just bought a laptop with Vista on it and I can't seem to get MVPedit to work no matter what I try.

When I try and start the program, I get an error box stating "Component comdlg32.ocx or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

I've tried downloading the specific file it's asking for and putting it into the windows/system32 folder without luck.

Any ideas on how to get around this? Without a working MVPedit there won't be any new Ultimate Rosters release :)

Vista sometime can run some Software in XP

1) right click on software

2) go to properties

3) go to compatibility

4) check mark run this program in compatibility mode

5) select window xp sp2

Also U can re-download http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/suppo...me=COMDLG32.OCX Follow their instruction on how to register the file not just replace it.

Or use their program http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/libraryfiles.exe to register COMDLG32.OCX

Hope this help my friend

Try putting the comdlg32.ocx file in your MVPedit folder. Hope this helps Totte.
