Just read every entry here. I had down time at work. Havent played mvp 2005 since 2008. I went to the Show. I want to play mvp again mostly because it was fun and the fact that i can play with my laptop. Thus making it portable. Will Mvp 2012 run fine on Windows 7?
I've never bought anything refurbished, but this sounds like a good deal. Don't you all think?
Wanted to get some input from some of you who have bought refurbished electronics. I'd love to hear your take.
Even at that price, I can't afford it right now...but if I were to sell my TV and stand for about $250 during our garage sale this Saturday, I might be tempted.
I live 15 minutes from a Compusa store.
How do you turn "ie pitchers success down"? I can't see this in the sliders options.
I'm last in the league in homers, so I need to turn this down so that I can catch up. If I can start hitting about 3 or 4 per game for about two weeks of games, I can catch up to the upper third in the league which is where I think the Cubs should be at.
If the pitcher is going to throw to first, you get a 2 second heads up when the camera shifts and zooms in on the pitcher. If you don't get this camera shot, he's going home. I rarely succeed at stealing even when I put Yadier's arm at 20. Yep, 20. I still get caught. I haven't tried the strike zone fade yet.
I too cannot afford at ps3. I have four kids. I feel good that I was able to provide them with a wii and xbox 360.
I get my baseball fix on the pc. I bought one copy and though it has bugs, it is playable for me. I went back and bought a second copy just in case this is our last pc game...don't want any of my kids to mess up my first copy.
I too treat it like a video game. Some people don't. I guess that's why we are all fourtunate in that we have choices. We can elect to buy it or not. We can elect to buy MLB the Show or MLB 2k9. Or just stick with MVP if that was what you played before.
The other thing is that paying money for something involves risk. I once pay $64 for an xbox 360 game for my son that he did not enjoy. It was $64 that is hard for a family to dish out during these times, but what are you going to do? It's a risk.
I've been searching everywhere about what can be edited within the franchise file. Anyone know the details. I haven't downloaded it yet.
Question for Ty?
Have you found anything relating to the season schedule? I would love to change start times to the games. The Cubs schedule has almost all their games at home at night which is not realistic.
We have enough of these slider threads already. Don't we. By the time you read the first post, the sliders have been tweaked and retweaked.
I don't understand how anyone can mess with sliders from game to game. Getting good results for one game or 5 is not good enough. CPU vs. CPU means nothing really if you want to be playing the games. EVERYONE's play is unique and CPU vs. CPU will never replicate that. Also, I will say it for the last time. You have to PLAY minimum, and I do mean minimum 10 games so that you can give every starting pitcher in the rotation 2 starts. You cannot adjust sliders from game to game. I used to do that for other baseball titles until it finally hit me that most of these games are meant for marathon of 162 games and not three or four.
Question: Do you think it's possible to add people to the upper deck instead of having covered seats with tarps.
I don't have the know how, but I wonder if it's possible to even add a 2d texture of people up there.
I don't like empty seats very much.
Great mod. Love all these stadiums and appreciate the effort that goes into them.
Stealing counts are ones where the pitcher is kinda forced to throw strikes. 2-0 and 2-1 are good counts to steal because you know the pitcher will not be pitching out nor will he want to got to 3-0 or 3-1.
