Dude, you're right! 8O I was thinking Pujois was on the cover in 2004 - when the Cards went to the Playoffs and won 100 games. But, you're absolutely right - Pujois was on the cover one season after his team didn't make the playoffs. That was the season Chicago went.

:oops: Oops...

Well, I can't see any reason why Derek Lee wouldn't make the cover - except he's never been as consistent as A-Rod. :(

It wouldn't be Ortiz, because he was on the cover of Nintendo's game last year and MLB 06. EA wouldn't have copied them and used Ortiz. Especially not 1 year after Manny.

Completely agreed. I just threw him in because I figured a lot of "Other" votes would go for him. :roll:

I think Vlad would be a pretty good choice, he's a consistent player, and he's more of a superstar, like they tend to choose for the cover (Pujols, Manny, etc.). I don't think he's been on the cover of an MVP. I'm pretty sure he was the coverboy for one of the later Triple Plays, it may have been 2001. But I know he hasn't been on a cover for a little while.

not exactly the best one out there, but i made it last night. I went with Dontrelle considering he was the Cy Young and there hasn't been a pitcher on the cover in awhile.

Maybe but with a 1-3 start and an era over 5 I'd say with that lineup his chances are already shot. Roger Clemens last year had one of the greatest statistical season of this era and didnt win the Cy. Fact is you have to have almost 20 if not 20 and great numbers I dont see him having a chance playing on essentially a AAA roster.

yeah i know willis was the winner, but i just decided to post the cover i put on my cd. i think you could put up a lot of arguments for players such as DLee, A-Rod, but I think going from the award standpoint, Willis has to be on there.

And PolishJoe, I cut it from a graphic I found on here, with Willis on it. It was one of the CTS screens.
