Version: MVP 06 Beta Mod

Difficulty: All Star

Games: Play All 162 (hopefully)

Sliders: Realistic Base Stealing, and Better Pitch Control thats all Smile

Rosters: Updated, With Jorge Julio deal & Nevin for Hairtson, Plus lowered Josh Towers rating a bit, release durazo

Progression: Bill's Progression Fix v3, Thanks Bill

Just felt like doing this rangers dynasty over. The last one I had going was fine except for the fact that I used the wrong rosters and I didnt have the nevin trade.

Prospect Watch

SP Edison Volquez (AAA)

SP Thomas Diamond (AAA)

SP John Danks (AA)

Scouting Report:

The Rangers minor league organization does not hold many highly touted prospect but these 3 above have an unlimited amount of potential. Expect to see Diamond pitching in the Big Leagues first as he is the most ready and has been overpowering batters in the minors.

Yes, unfortunately it does. I really liked that franchise but it would have been much funner if I had Upton and Drew both on the team but that would have taken years and years for them to progress enough just so I can actually hit with them. Plus I felt like playing with Texas again lol. This one will last trust me :). All comments are appreciated guys...

Schilling Shuts Out Rangers In Season Opener

April 4th, 2006 - Game 1 Of 162

Game 1 Of 3: Boston Red Sox (0-0) @ Texas Rangers (0-0)

box3yd.jpg

Boston Red Sox 6, Texas Rangers 0

Game Wrap:

Millwood gave up a 2 out 3 Run blast in the 2nd inning to Jason Varitek and then continued to struggle in the following inning giving up another home run. The Rangers bats never really got going as Schilling kept knocking down batters forcing alot of ground balls. The Red Sox end up winning 6-0 with a solid performance by Schilling.

Red Sox Notes:

Youkillis was the only Red Sox hitter to not get a hit. The Red Sox left 11 batters on base.

Rangers Notes:

Rangers "Ace" Kevin Millwood got rocked in his Texas Rangers debut. Local beat writers have been saying that he should get used to more games like this at home on ameriquest field.

Manny Ramirez 3 for 5, 1 HR, 2 RBI's

Wakefield 13 K's, Red Sox Lose

April 6th, 2006 - Game 2 Of 162

Game 2 Of 3: Boston Red Sox (1-0) @ Texas Rangers (0-1)

sa25ku.jpg

Boston Red Sox 4, Texas Rangers 5

Game Wrap:

Game started out slow as a pitchers duo, Wakefield striking out batter after batter it wasnt even funny and Padilla getting alot of ground outs. The game opened up in the 7th when the BoSox rallied and put a string of runs together and take a 4-1 lead, But it wouldnt last long. Following inning the sox take out Wakefield whom had only throw 77 pitches and put in Timlin. And thats when the Rangers bats came alive. Did the same thing as the Red Sox did in the 7th pretty much and rallied to get men on base and score. Hairston hit a Sac fly to give the Rangers the lead. Cordero came into the game in the 9th and closed it out against the Red Sox 1 2 and 3 batters.

Red Sox Notes:

Jason Varitek went 4 for 4 in the game and had 1 RBI. Tim Wakefield struck out every batter for the Rangers at least once...

Rangers Notes:

It took the Rangers 14 innings to get their first run of the season. Neither team hit a HR in this game. Rangers despite 13 strikeouts from the Red Sox starter, draw even in the series and play later today for the deciding game.
