Windy City Story: A Chicago White Sox Dynasty

Well, this is officially my first dynasty that I am posting here.

I have started multiple dynasties with the Yankees, but didn't want to start one of those to post here because, well, I just wanted to do something new.

So I picked the White Sox. I can't really tell you why. But I did.

So here it is, my 2006 White Sox dynasty.

Difficulty: All-Star

Rosters: UR 7.5

Sliders: None (as of right now, I'll adjust as need be.)

Game 1

White Sox 5

Paul Konerko hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the White Sox a 4-1 lead, and the Chicago bullpen held on for a 5-4 win against the Cleveland Indians on Opening Night Sunday night.

Mark Beuhrle was impressive for the White Sox, scattering six hits and allowing just two runs in seven innings of work. He struck out four and walked none.

C.C. Sabathia took the loss for the Indians, allowing five runs on 12 hits in seven innings. He struck out one.

Freddy Garcia pitched 7.1 sparkling innings on Tuesday, leading the White Sox to their second win in as many games to start the 2006 season.

Garcia Struck out 8 batters, allowing only one run on four hits. Cleveland's lone run was scored on a throwing error by third baseman Joe Crede in the sixth inning.

Chicago pounded Cleveland starter Jake Westbrook for four home runs, and 13 hits overall. Joe Crede hit a two-run shot in the second inning, and Jim Thome and Paul Konerko went back-to-back in the fourth.

Rob Mackowiak added his first homer of the season in the fourth.

The Chicago bats were alive on Wednesday, as the White Sox pounded Cliff Lee and the Cleveland Indians for 19 hits en route to a 12-5 victory and a three-game sweep to open the season.

Jim Thome led the way with two home runs and a double, driving in 4.

Jermaine Dye also homered, and Tadahito Iguchi drove in 3 runs, as Chicago jumped to a 3-0 start in the 2006 campaign.

Jose Contreras gave up 11 hits and 5 earned runs, but earned the victory with the help of his team's offensive outburst. Contreras struck out 5 and didn't walk a batter.

The White Sox outscored the Indians 22-10 in the sweep, and pounded 45 hits, for a team batting average of .409.

The Chicago White Sox remained undefeated with a 4-2 victory against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night.

Rob Mackowiak had a 2-RBI double and Jermaine Dye hit a solo home run to lead off the top of the sixth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie.

Jon Garland scattered eight hits over seven innings, giving up only two runs to pick up his first win of the season, and Bobby Jenks pitched a perfect ninth to earn his second save in as many chances.

I like that Podsednik is laying down over the plate, when the ball isn't even close to him. Maybe Michael Barrett flew in and knocked him out.

I played this game last night and it was just bad.

So i don't think I'm going to say anything other than Iguchi had two hits an an RBI, so yeah, go him.
