Types of Roster Files

This may be common knowledge among the "vets" on these boards, but I'm wondering which of the file types it is that allows me to load rosters within the game (in the "Load Rosters" menu), as opposed to just completely replacing the default roster and giving me no choice.

I'm new to the PC version, but on the console version, I was able to save one roster file with the all-time greats, and another one (like KG's updates) with up-to-date rosters. Here, it seems like you have the following choices:

- Play with default rosters

- Install a Mod like MVP 1994 or MVP 07 (soon 08), which overwrites the entire installed game

- Download a roster which then becomes your "default" roster

Am I getting this wrong? Can't I just download the rosters and load them within the game if I want to use them?

All the rosters here become your default. It is technically easy to make them a .sav file to load them from the load menu but It could crash your game because almost every roster file here uses a different set of models big.

just use kg's standard version of the roster. backup your database folder. install kg's roster. load the game, and create a sav file. replace your database folder with the original.
