the correct color codes

Normal Install instructions

WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into

the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because

of the way 2k does their files

Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install)

This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals.

Download from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html

and follow thier directions.Once installed there should be a folder called *MODS*

Inside this folder u can create another folder. For example if u just want national league

modded unis name a folder NATIONAL LEAGUE and place my unzipped uni files

inside this folder.Start the enabler and choose the folder that has the mods

then start the game and the unis should be available. If u want to revert back to the originals

then just shut down the enabler again these will not have the correct color codes

Although Detroit was and established member of Ban Johnsons "Western League"

during the 1890's,its status as a major league was in jeopardy when the league

went "major" in 1901.Mediocre attendance fueled rumors that the team was going

to Pittsburgh or another credible major league team. The Tigers stayed in Detroit

and wove a long and rich baseball tradition. They have been the "Tigers"as far back

as thier minor league days a name inspired by yellow and black stocking stripes.

Thier first uniform as a major league team in 1901declared their feline identity by

using a red tiger on the front of thier cap.The black stockings alos had a red stripe.

The rest of the uni was standard stuff, fold down collar, button up shirt and the name

"Detroit"in arched block letters. The road was the same style except that maroon

was the trim color instead of black. In 1904 the Tigers uni was significate year in Tiger

uni history as the reverted back to thier old english"D" from 1890 and makes it the

oldest emblem in the major leagues thats still in use today(Unless the Athetics ressurect

their A) also was the first year that Ty Cobb would use his services for the Tigers as thier

full time center fielder.

After 14 years as manager Hugh Jennings was replaced as manager by hero

Ty Cobb for the 1921 season. The newspapers even named the team the "TYGERS"

in honor of the new leader. He lasted thru 1926 when he resigned to finish out

his great career with the Philadelphia Athletics.

In stride with the trend for more colorful uniforms the Detroit team donned the most

imaginative uniform in team history. In place of the traditional D on the shirt they

displayed a orange and black tiger head and also a large tiger head on the back.

2 Orange stripes were added to the stockings and an orange D on the cap.

The files included are for the 1927 home and away and the 1995 alternate which was only used for 1 or 2 games. The files are the cl1 cl2 and home iff's
