any updated rosters?
After 7 years, I think it’s safe to say there aren’t. -

If this is not a completed Total Classics mod why release it?
Because he wanted to share it with others. It may not be perfect, but you are well aware of other mods that were MUCH less polished than this. I applaud him for the effort and thank him for his contribution.

Just updating the rosters alone isn't enough because they reference cyberfaces that were created over the years after the game was released. To prevent crashes, you will need to download and update all of the cyberfaces that have been added. I do not know of any comprehensive download that includes all of the cyberfaces required for these rosters.

These patches are for the PC version of MVP 2005.

Very nice!

It's been moved to the proper area.

Don't thank me. Thank kyleb -- he created the mod. I just packaged it up and uploaded it for him.

The Youngblood audio may be wrong, but Randy Johnson is not. Here's the Braves' 1984 roster by position: http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1984/UPATL01984.htm

And if asking nicely is not sufficient, stronger actions will be necessary.

The download link has been fixed.

What is the password?
You don't need a password. Open the Total Installer Thingy and when it asks you for the file to install, type in 08_WS_release.7z. It will then install the 08 mod for you.

thank you so much for this was looking a long time for it, but when i try to run the program in the mvp 2005 map its says program must run in mvp 2005 root folder.? does that mean that i have to instal the game again?.
Yes, you do.

I also wonder how you can do mods where there are like 10-20 teams instead of the usual 30, what goes on behind the scenes. And also, are there minor league teams and stadiums or how do you deal with those, Total Classics is a great series.
Basically, to remove teams from the major leagues, you edit the team.dat file and assign them to one of the minor leagues. The Total Classics single season mods only update the major league teams. We recommend that if you play in dynasty mode, you turn off things like injuries, trades, suspensions, etc. so that your major league rosters never change.

What previous roster set did you base this new one on? The reason I'm asking is because if you install these rosters on top of an unmodded version of MVP2005, the game will crash. For example, I started an exhibition game between the Red Sox and Yankees and as soon as the game was ready to start (after selecting the stadium), it crashed. I opened up the rosters in MVPEdit and started looking at the cyberfaces assigned to the players. I noticed that the cyberface assigned to Clay Bucholz on the Red Sox does not exist in the models.big file. The same is true for Mike Cameron. I stopped here because this explains why my crash occurred.
Do these rosters need to be installed on top of another mod (e.g. the MVP08 mod?) or do they require a different models.big file that contains more faces (e.g. KG's mod) in order for them to work? You need to state any prerequisites required so that users know what they need to install before they install your rosters. Otherwise, you are going to get a lot of frustrated users (as you can see from some of the previous comments).

You have to open up the .mbe file in the MBPEdit utility and then export the data files to the game’s data/database folder.
