A Trade with NYY has been done, but isn't Cantu or Sledge. is a pitcher: This was the trade that the Yankees offer and accepted by the Nationals: Gets: SP John Patterson and a minor league player to be named later. Gets: 2B Robinson Canó and SP Chien-Ming Wang But now the natl's have 4 second basemans -J.Vidro (DL) -R.Canó -J.Spivey -J.Cantu is the Natl's owner planing something for the trade deadline? HFLR Posted July 20, 2005 Author Share Posted July 20, 2005 BREAKING NEWS Terrmel Sledge leaves the team The OF Terrmel Sledge and 2B J.Cantu were traded to SD for OF D.Roberts, OF F.Guzman (top 100 amerca's prospect), and a good AAA pitcher. Then, SD trades J.Cantu to NYM for 3B T.Batista. Batista was signed on April 16. F.Guzman is going to AAA Zephirs and Robinson Canó stays in MLB. __________________________ Osuna designated for asignment The Nationals pitcher was designated for asignment today after beeing 2 and a half weeks in the trading block. he can be traded to boston for C Kelly Stopack and LHP Allan Embree. And Dave Roberts should definitly help your team fill up that leadoff spot. To me Guzman isn't really good for that. And Embree should help your bullpen. How come you designated Osuna for assignment?
