I'm going to start a new dynasty with the Jays soon on dynastymanager.com. Follow that for updates. I'm looking for some scounting reports and things to create some of the missing minor league guys or tweak guys. I'm using UR 4.6.

http://www.dynastymanager.com/dynasty.cgi?...bernetic&y=2005

Why not use UR 6.5 since I made a complete overhaul to the Jays organisation?

SP Francisco Rosario (AAA) doesn't throw like Randy Johnson he's more of a generic delivery

SP Casey Janssen (AAA) throws Kaz Ishii style

Jays Fall Short in Season Opener vs. Twins

icon_tor.gif 4/5/2006 -- The season opener for the 2006 Toronto Blue Jays was all it was billed up to be except for the fact that the Blue Jays lost. It was a pitching duel for the ages with the 2004 Cy Young winner Johan Santana going up against the 2003 winner in Roy Halladay. Both pitchers were excellent going 7+ innings a piece allowing just 1 run each as they both left the game with the score deadlocked at one. Shea Hillenbrand hit a solo home run for the Jays in the 5th to open the scoring, which was later tied with one swing of the bat from Torii Hunter in the 7th. The game would end up going to 10 innings where the Twins managed to get 3 hits off Justin Speier who took the loss (0-1). Joe Nathan would then close out the game making short work of the Jays for his first save. The game winning run was scored on an RBI-triple by Twins shortstop Juan Castro scoring Tony Batista who led-off the inning with a single. Another run would plate on an RBI-double by Shannon Stewart.

WP: Juan Rincon (1-0)

LP: Justin Speier (0-1)

SV: Joe Nathan (1)

Offense:

Twins:

Torii Hunter- HR(1)

Juan Castro- RBI(1)

Shannon Stewart- RBI(1)

Outlook

The Jays and Twins will square off again in game 2 of the 3 game set to open the season. New Jay A.J. Burnett will take the mound against veteran Brad Radke.

Dynasty Notes

I've opted not to use Dynasty Manager anymore. I've also installed UR 6.5 plus with the Umachine uni's prior to starting it.

Jays Rough Up Radke, Even Series

icon_tor.gif 4/6/2006 -- After an uneventful first inning, Twins right-fielder Michael Cuddyer open the scoring in the 2nd inning with a solo home run(1). The Jays would then respond in the bottom of the frame with a solo homer from Troy Glaus to lead off the inning (1) and then later in the inning, a 3-run shot from Russ Adams (1). The Jays would add 4 more, all unearned as the result of a couple of errors by the Twins defense in the 6th and chase the starter Brad Radke who took the loss (0-1). He would go just 5 2/3 innings allowing 10 hits and 8 runs, 4 of which were earned. A.J. Burnett (1-0) would get the win for the Jays going 7 strong yielding just 1 run as the Jays took the middle game of the series by a convincing 8-1 margin. Francisco Rosario made his major league debut and pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief of Burnett.

Jays Top Starting Prospect McGowan Injured in AAA Game

icon_tor.gif 4/8/2006 -- Toronto Blue Jays top starting pitching prospect Dustin McGowan left Syracuse's Thursday afternoon game against Rochester in the sixth inning suffering from knee soreness. He left with 2 runners on and a 5-0 lead. Ryan Houston would relieve him and allow both runners to score in the eventual Syracuse 7-2 victory. McGowan would get the win but that's the good news. He will be sidelined for 15-days with a minor PCL sprain. He was replaced on the active roster by lefty Brian Tallet who was acquired from the Cleveland Indians in a minor league deal during the off-season. Tallet will also take his next two rotation turns. Tallet pitched 3 innings of shutout ball in AA New Hampshire earlier in the afternoon as well.

Hinske, Adams 9th Inning Heroes in Walk-Off

icon_tor.gif 4/8/2006 -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays scored a run on a sac-fly by Nick Green in the 3rd to take a 1-0 lead and with the way the Jays were handling Seth McClung it looked like Gustavo Chacin would be a hard-luck loser despite throwing 7 innings and allowing just 1 run. However, after 2 scoreless innings from Jason Frasor, the Jays would rally in the bottom of the 9th. Russ Adams led the inning off with a solo home run (2) off McClung . Manager John Gibbons would then roll the dice and pinch hit Eric Hinske for Aaron Hill, the move would prove to be beneficial as Hinske lined a double down the left-field line. The ball would take a weird bounce and hop over Carl Crawford's head, bouncing along the outfield wall, allowing Eric Hinske to come all the way around to score for an inside-the-park home run, although it was ruled a double with an error to Crawford. The Jays would walk off with a 2-1 victory and make a winner of Jason Frasor.

WP: Jason Frasor (1-0)

LP: Seth McClung (0-1)

SV: N/A

Offense:

Devil Rays:

Green- RBI(1)

Jays:

Outlook

Josh Towers squares off with Doug Waechter in the middle game of this three game set.

The Jays added 4 more in 7th on a 3-run shot from Shea Hillenbrand (3) off reliever Chuck Tiffany and another on Frank Catalanotto's second RBI-single as they took the middle game of the series 6-2. Josh Towers picked up the win (1-0) in 7 innings of 1 hit ball but left due to a high pitch count. Doug Waechter got the loss (0-1) for the Devil Rays giving up 4 of Toronto's 6 runs. Jays Complete the Sweep in Convincing Fashion

icon_tor.gifApril 10th, 2006 - Game 6 of 162

Game 3 of 3: Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1-4) @ Toronto Blue Jays (4-1)

Troy Glaus opened up the scoring in the bottom of the 1st with an RBI-single after Reed Johnson led-off the inning with a single and was grounded over to third. However, Roy Halladay looked shaky and was constantly giving up weak singles up the middle and putting runners on. In the second it caught up to him as he served up a two-run home run (1) to Rocco Baldelli. He would settle down from there and go six innings allowing no other runs. In the fourth the offense exploded for the Jays as both Bengie Molina and Aaron Hill hit 2-run homers in the inning, both being their first of the season. Vernon Wells would get in the scoring in the fifth with a sac-fly. In the seventh, Alex Rios hit a line-drive triple (his 2nd of the game) and the ball was thrown away coming in to the infield allowing him to score to make it 6-3. Lyle Overbay would add a three-run jack (1) in the eighth to put the game away as the Jays took the game 10-3 and swept the series over the Devil Rays. Roy Halladay got the win (1-0) going six and allowing one run on ten hits. He had six strike outs in the game. Scott Kazmir (0-2) got the loss as he went 6 2/3 innings giving up 7 runs to the Jays. The Jays have now won 5 straight games.

WP: Halladay (1-0)

LP: Kazmir (0-2)

SV: N/A

Offense:

Devil Rays:

Baldelli- HR(1), 2 RBI

Lugo- RBI

Blue Jays:

Overbay- HR(1), 3 RBI

Molina- HR(1), 2 RBI

Hill- HR(1), 2 RBI

Wells- RBI

Outlook

The Jays have an off-day tomorrow and begin a 3-game series in Boston on Tuesday.

Injury Note

Jays shortstop Russ Adams left the game in the first inning after a collision with Julio Lugo after Lugo attempted to break up a double play but was unsuccessful. Adams got off a quick throw to first just as Lugo collided with him to complete the double play. Adams immediately left the game and went for x-rays on his injured hip. Team doctors diagnosed him with a sprained right hip flexor and have said that he will miss a month on the disabled list. The Jays placed him on the 15-day DL after the game and recalled shortstop Sergio Santos from AAA Syracuse. Santos was acquired in the Troy Glaus deal from Arizona and was hitting .273 for Syracuse in just 3 games so far. He will likely become the everyday shortstop until Adams returns.

Now the game keeps crashing in the 2nd game of the Boston series (game 7 of the season) at random times... first time in the 7th I hit a groundball and it crashed now I hit a flyball to RF in the 8th and after it was caught the game crashed

Update:

I've decided to scrap my dynasty and start a new one. I'm going to use tywiggins' DAT thing and change the year to 2006. UR contains the '05 stats so it should work out.
