I edited the schedule,by swapping out opponents, to create a custom schedule. (MLB162_1.dat located in schedule.big)

Playing so many games against the Central is a tad bland to me, so, I'll be playing alot of NL Teams in April and May.

Tigers avoid sweep; win 6-3

Magglio Ordonez and Chris Shelton both homered and knocked in 5 of the 6 Tiger runs to avoid being swept by the Mets. Nate Robertson held New York to 3 runs in his 6 innings on the rubber. Pedro Martinez was worked over by the Detroit batters for 4 walks and was forced to throw 105 pitches in 6 innings of work as he lost his first game of the 2005 campaign. Carlos Beltran proved to be a true Tiger hunter finishing the series with 2 homers and a .500 batting average.

The Tigers improve to 1-2 and face the Dodgers in Detroit in the opening game of a 3 game set tomorrow when Mike Maroth is set to take the hill.

Quiet at the plate; Tigers lose 1-0

You can't ask for a better pitching performance if your a Tiger fan, or a Dodger fan for that matter. Tigers lost a pitchers duel 1-0 to Los Angeles as Brett Tomko pitched flawlessly striking out 12.

Mike Maroth however gave up the only run in the game in 3rd inning when Jeff Kent doubled and two batters later Jose Cruz Jr. singled for the RBI.

BOX SCORE

This game was rained out the previous day so, LETS PLAY TWO.
